Although Seriously I'm seeing posts about some people saying that when the game comes out there going to build all kinds of big Belgium Like Dyson spheres huge Deep space cannons etc etc etc and then people say "nope dats not realistic, not gonna happen."

Well... Why IS'NT is realistic, What if i have a huge empire and i have 2 trillion tons of iron and other Delicious metals and i have tiny nano bots that can builds cities in under 3 hours? And then what if i decide to build a huge statue in space the size of 3 solar systems of my balls just because people need to look at it and know who is boss.
Seriously why the Belgium not?

Who's stopping me from building 5 Dyson spheres to power the 16 orbital cannons i got in my home solar system.

Who's stopping me from building giant space cruisers the size of a stars

Who's stopping me from blowing 90% of my cash to make 1000 Dyson spheres,

Who's stopping me from drilling into the center of my planet just for giggles

Why not?

This really doesn't deserve its own thread.

I wouldn't think is anything stopping you from doing most of those things. Bear in mind that realistic is simply based off of the code that we input into the game's engine. It is really hard to tell what is achievable in the space stage and what isn't when we are this far away from developing it.

Look at how far we've come when people thought we'd get nowhere. Imagine how far we can go if we try to get somewhere.

As long as you have the resources, and can prevent the pressure in the core from initiating nuclear fusion, like in stars… That last one might be a problem, actually, though very advanced techs such as antigravity should be able to counter it. So, with that, you can.

And I agree this doesn't seem to need its own thread. Also, we definitely will include dyson spheres.

Why not? Because we have few programmers and a limited scope. You don't go into a game of pac-man expecting a 3D map editor with adjustable gravity. We won't simulate anything we don't have the ability to simulate.

Remember our goals: simplicity, science, and playability. Keep them in mind always.
