Hi, I am a new person here. (Obviously because if I wasn't I wouldn't be making this thread right now heh). I am a person who would love to help on the project of making THRIVE happen. I'm not sure exactly how I can help out at the moment, but I do promise that when I do find myself something to do, I'll work real hard on it, I promise. The game looks like a great idea and I'll try to spread the word about it to some people.

Welcome to the forums SukaNekoto!

It's great to see another join, although, there probably won't be much for you to do if you cannot program, model, do art, or have a sound grasp of science/math.

EDIT: Or compose music, don't forget that.

I do know someone that I can probably convince to make some music to help, though I'm not sure if he'll agree on it. I'll try to talk him into it anyways.

I do know how to draw fairly well, though sadly realistic style is not my specialty, which is probably the style that you would need. :/

Ah-well, I'll try to help out the forums with suggestions and ideas for the game though, at least I can help ya out on there.

Drawing is nice, but unfortunately no longer necessary for the Microbe Stage. We have the concept art we need. The art I was talking about is like sprites or backgrounds from programs like Photoshop.

I would like to know what kinds of sprites are you implying, 2D or 3D?

Also I don't really know exactly how to make a seamless image for the backgrounds, and I would think that you would imply that I would probably have to go and draw 200x magnified sand, as to avoid copyright infridgement from actual imagery. Unless you want me to collect sand and get a microscope and take a picture of it and mess around with it in some fancy art program to try to make it seamless, I could maybe try to pull that off, heheh.

As a quick diction point, "meaning" would make more sense in the place of "implying", since I explicitly mentioned sprites.

Also, as far as I know, all sprites are 2D. To make it seem 3D they stick multiple sprites together, disable camera rotation, or make the sprites rotate to always face you.

So yes, 2D is what we need. Also, backgrounds do not have to be that complex, and I hope I never implied that. There are some nice backgrounds made by gryphogrox that werent so. However, they should be good quality since the player will be looking at it a lot.
