Hello! My name is Tarpy, a strange name, you might say. Well, I didn't have any better ideas, and I think it's my old Minecraft account name or something like that.

Anyways, I have been following this project for quite some time now (one year or so) and I think that there are a lot of ideas here that have great potential. I myself, have also always wanted to have a realistic Spore, but I guess things are as they are. But this game is not just a realistic Spore, it's more than that. That's one of the main reasons I have decided to create an account and try to make a contribution to this game.

And that brings me to my next topic: how I can contribute to this game. Here is a list of everything I can and can't do:

1. Programming: I noticed you always need more programmers, so here I am. I've been programming in Java for 4 years now, and I have to say it's the programming language i am most familiar with, even though I still get confused sometimes when handling with LWJGL. Next I've also got 4 years experience with C (ordinary, not ++) but I don't know how to do graphics in it, so it is very much useless to me at this time. I have just started learning C++ and I plan on learning as much as I can about it so I can actually do something useful here.

2. Legal: Not very much I can do here. I know some things about copyright and that stuff, but again, not very much.

3. Science: Okay, so I know a lot of advanced physics and mathematics, so expect a lot of advice from me on those subjects. I have some knowledge in chemistry too, but not as much as physics and mathematics. I know Biology to some extent as well, but just enough to understand what people are talking about when discussing something from this field. I don't have a clue about geology.

4. Art: Let's just cut the story: I can't draw and I can play the piano and maybe make some music, but don't expect it to be as nice as your musician's (it's sooo soothing).

In all, I guess I can be of some use, and I hope we will have merry and productive time together!

Welcome to the Thrive project Tarpy!

It's spectacular to see you able to offer so much to the game. Programming is a big thing right now, math is always important, and I'm pretty sure physics will become very useful later on down the line.

Have you had any experience with Ogre?

Sadly, I do not, but if it is necessary , I probably will try and learn It later on (when I finish learning C++).

Yes, it is currently part of the programming work. I don't know if there are certain coding tasks that will let you work around it, however, so you should ask one of the coders about that.
