| Hey everyone, I've been watching these forums for a few months now and I've finally decided to try and get involved. I'm currently studying product design/concept art so thats my 'talent' (And I say that loosely :P) but im also happy to contribute ideas if at all possible I also know some very basic programming so I might be able to learn a few things here. I'm happy to get to work straight away developing some concepts as soon as you guys say so, I can work digitally or traditionally, which ever suits your needs better. I can't post external links yet but my DeviantArt username is Monstahart if you feel like looking me up
Also, just a note, I will work on any designs you ask me to, however I prefer to stay away from landscape concepts, I dont think I have the skill to do those well enough
Anyway, thanks for reading and I look forward to meeting you all.

| Welcome, Monstahart! Send me a message once you've made some concept art and I can add it to the gallery page of the new website. Most of the concept art so far has been of alien organisms, so I suggest that's where you should start. If you're really stuck on what to design, have a look at the concept race thread - maybe you could either create an image of someone else's creature, or make your own. I certainly need a better image of my concept race, the Litorv. See my post on the concept race thread if you need a more detailed description. - Spoiler:
I'm sure you'll be a very welcome addition to the team!

| Thanks for the kind welcome
Im currently going to start working on some mock-up 'in-game' microbe stage concepts, but I'll happily have a go at your 'Litorv' creature when I have the time It's nice to meet you, I'm looking forward to getting involved with the rest of the team.

| Nice to meet you, Monstahart! Artists are always welcome here and concept art never fails to draw attention to the Thrive project. I don't speak with authority here, but I think digital concepts would be more helpful. However, if you know how to use blender, the thing we need most from artists now are cell models/backgrounds for the microbe stage. You should see a Global Annoucement that says "GET INVOLVED" and in that post should be a link explaining what artists can do to help!
Anyway, glad to see you on the Thrive team!

| Hi Jacob, good to meet you. And sure, Im getting started on some digital microbe stage concepts as we speak. As for 3d modeling, I have done it in the past, but I've never actually used Blender. I'll be sure to take a look at it anyway | |

| Nice to hear. I'm not sure if you can only use blender, anything in a .mesh format will be compatible with our current microbe stage environment. I'm looking forward to seeing your artwork! | |

| One last thing, you mentioned in your first post you can't post links. That's true, you have to wait 7 days as an anti-spam measure. You can just omit the the http/www part and just have the URL- ex. google.com/translate. Looking forward to working with you too. | |

| Yes, please, PLEASE, somebody post any type of cell model (and textures if possible) in .mesh format. That way we'll be able to get rid of the strange-man shaped cell. | |

| Looks fantastic! At any rate, better than the current ogre model. Hopefully one of the developers can add it in soon. Great work! | |

.mediafire.com/?sdt1ltb838jspks (Add www to front )
Also, I didnt know how to group the parts so its still just a set of objeccts instead of one big one at the moment, sorry :/ Like I said it's my first time :S

I already took a quick look at that, only problem is that exports all of the parts as separate meshes because for some reason it wont let me group them :/ Still, thanks anyway, I'll take a closer look

| Welcome to Thrive Monstahart!
Sorry for the belated reply, but it is great to see a new artist join. That model you did was great. If you can model, model cells, and if you can do concept art, do it for cells, organelles, and the Microbe GUI, like said on the other thread.
