 My first Idea for Thrive- Remnants

PostSubject: My first Idea for Thrive- Remnants   Sat May 25, 2013 9:11 pm

Okay so to start off, Remnants are like, little notes or journal entries uncommon from different planets, they can pertain to the following-

1. Astrology, records from ancient races on the stars and their perceptions on them.
2. Religion, how ancient races believed in their creation.
3. War, ancient records of disputes, the amount of time they lasted, and even casualty lists.
4. Literature, ancient race's forms of poetry, writings, and even short stories of myths and the real world.

Their would even be logs that continue, as an example, you would find one log from a person, such as a casualty list early in the war, then you can eventually find another log from mid-way in the war, even on another planet, which could leave the player wondering how the log got their, and even the writers travels. You can even make your own logs which can be discovered by other players or even yourself in another playthrough!

Anyway, that's my idea, hope you guys like it, sorry I don't elaborate, still working on getting the hang of that, anyway if you have questions or comments, put them below, see you guys later and good luck.

Interesting idea, but far too complex, especially for a world that relies so heavily on procedural content for most features.

Look at how far we've come when people thought we'd get nowhere. Imagine how far we can go if we try to get somewhere.

It would not actually be too hard to implement, but logs that continue each other may be difficult to implement depending on how procedural we want them to be..
