Ok guys. I want to contribute with the development of Thrive, but first of all I don't like much the current forum style, so I'm trying to make a new one, more sci-fi and modern looking. I used the colors that in my opinion fit better the game feel, orange, grey and black.
I spent some time in Photoshop and this how it looks:
Spoiler:

It's totally WIP, there's only a few tabs.
Also I never designed a website before!
So, suggestions? Or the current design is perfect and I shouldn't waste time on this.

First, put big images in spoiler tags.

Second, that isn't possible with our forum providers, so we are stuck with this overall layout.

Finally, our old design looked like that and many people found it hard to read.

Its a really cool looking concept though, don't get me wrong

I think that UI will fit the game very well, maybe we can use this kind of concept for the game itself, instead of the forum?

Felt inspired and made this, a pause menu to use in game.

Sorry if it's a bit off topic but I don't want to start a thread just for this.
I still don't like it, it feels too simple cartoony. Sorry it's my first try. I can draw, amke 3d models and program a bit but it's my first try ever about these kind of things lol.
The orange tone is too bright maybe?

That actually looks rather cool. I'd like to see a full UI concept using this theme/color scheme.

The colour scheme looks great, but I agree with you that it looks a little too cartoony. I think at some point it was decided that the game would use ~sciocont's shattered theme for all the UI (the shattered theme is what ~scio uses for his signature and it's also used on the website (www.revolutionarygamesstudio.com ) and the Revolutionary Games logo, which can be seen on the website). You could have a go at designing the UI using this if you want.

Nah, this design looks 1000 times better:

As ui design looks already cool to put in the game, I'm ready to help with whatever devs need.
