With the microbe GUI drawing to a close its time to start planning the GUI for the multicellular stage. We need to discuss:
  • The structure of the main GUI
  • The structure of the editor GUI
  • The design
  • And everything else related

While I don't want to be a spoilsport, I don't really think we can realistically create GUI for a stage of the game which we don't even know much about yet. The microbe stage has a Game Design Document which outlines everything it will feature as far as we know right now, and this helped hugely with creating the interface. The multicellular stage, on the other hand, doesn't have much finalised concept beyond creating creatures' skeletal structures. If we were to design a GUI now it would likely be outdated by the time the multicellular stage is released, I'm afraid.

The reason I created this thread was because of this post on the microbe GUI thread by NickTheNick which I feel went a bit undernoticed:
NickTheNick wrote:
We could perhaps start planning out the concept for the multicellular stage?
I'm only assuming Nick meant the GUI as he posted it in the GUI thread. But if you feel it is nessecery to close the thread the please do so.

Although i posted in the GUI thread, I specifically said concept, and it logically makes sense that you need to plan the concept of the game first before you can work on the GUI.
