Delayed Arrival: Mysterious Calligrapher says HI.

I'm Mysterious Calligrapher, and I just (finally) got here and did all the required reading.
Why am I here? For the record, I blame Sciocont.
I've known about Thrive since prehistory (when we were all still tooling around the sporum... remember then?) which is something else you can blame Sciocont for. It was respectfully suggested by sciocont that I get off my posterior and officially join the community... whatever I might bring.

What I'm bringing with me:
Art skills: halfway decent. Digital art consists of the halfway, everything else is decent.
Sciency goodness: chemistry, biology, anatomy, ecology, geology and psychology. Also, assorted geek knowlege in multiple feilds, not all of it particularily relevant.
Programming/computer skills: sadly nil. I can get my own computer to behave, and that's about it.
Snark: extensive and self-explanatory. Do not feed the snark.

I'll be wandering the forum, should anyone feel like talking to me...

Anyway, welcome to the Thrive project! As you can see, we've come a long way from our humble beginnings. Way, waay back, when we were just a joke, a somewhat cheesy one at that. If you'd like to look around some more, given you haven't gone through the whole forum already. It'll be a long trip, as we've gotten pretty far, in terms of conceptual ideas.

Oh, I'm catching up. sciocont has been good persistent enough to keep me up to date on the hallmark moments (I was one of the first people to see his design for the background around here, knew all about the retrieval process from the bomb shelter, etc.) but my knowlege so far is spotty.
I've sat through every incarnation of the organism editor, so I'm going to have to keep the current one bookmarked so I know what's finally been decided on. But I know very little about the politics, what can be done with the creature once you've finished building it, and what's been going on around here on the forum.
That said... well, I could have joined earlier. But a combination of my lazy and hearing way too much about this from sciocont just kept putting it off.
