Interview (Split from "Concept Video")

Although my opinion probably dosn't matter (here), I like it.

All right - dudes, whose got a nice deep voice and can read questions off of their screen? Girls could moderate too, but higher-pitched voices don't always record well on low-grade audio equiptment. (I've listened to enough recordings as a college newspaper reporter to figure that out...)

Preferrably, the mod would be someone who is up to date, but not a main interview participant.

I can help fiddle with script once I've done a thousand and one other things. Oh, and I owe you lot a script for the other video, don't I...

Now i'm not necisaraly voluntering; but aren't I the only unimportant person still on this forum (everyone else who is still on the forum would be the interviewy).

For the most part the interview-ees are going to be the people in charge of stuff/veterans. Most people won't be interviewed.

Eh, I think we should try to keep the numbers manageable. Under 10, anyway. That brings in plenty of room for people who are new or less frequent members to volunteer.

Team leads would be the ones interviewed. Others, maybe, but team leads would be the primary targets. Actually, I do know of someone who might be able to help Redstar might be up to it...

Is this a bad thing? You can provide a different viewpoint to the podcast! We shouldn't have this podcast all about team-leads, we should view these topics from every angle.

Because I didn't want to muck up this thread, I thought I'd ask here. Do we just come up with answers to your question or what?

And on topic with this thread; I geuss I'm voluntering to be the mediator (asuming I don't have to come up with the questions).

Basically, if you know what thrive is, you can add your answer, but if you want to be a mediator, it's probably best you don't answer your own questions.

I responded because I was asked to. I think that maybe two veteran members who are not in charge of something should respond, as well as one person who just discovered us on this forum, so as to add variety to the views.

I'm technically still around if you guys care. Discovered Thrive before these forums, but lurked around for quite a while before joining and still don't post a lot. Not "in charge" of anything either... unless you count the wiki...

This would be a time to start opening up the thread for question submissions.

1) What is Thrive?

2) (my submission) In what way does Thrive realistically simulate evolution?

3) Other than Evolution, what does Thrive simulate?

I have two points that I don't think have been discussed:

Short term:

• We haven't yet named the podcast, and podcasts do tend to have names. And a good name will make people expect the content to be good, too. But nothing stupid, like 'Sporums'. You can tell they didn't put much thought into that name.

• Will this podcast be for Thrive, or Revolutionary Games? The way I see it is: Thrive would mean that the discussion can be done by anyone as long as it is about Thrive, so the topics are more focused at game features, and fans(?) can 'call in' and talk/ask about Thrive stuff; while Revolutionary Games would be more professional, with us explaining interesting 'behind the scenes' stuff to our audience. This can be about games we make other than Thrive, too. Which should we do? Or could we have a podcast for each?

Good point. it should be for revolutionary games. I'll change the script accordingly.
