Thrive sounds like an awesome project, and I would like to be a part of it. I regret that I won't have a lot of time to devote on it, but I'll try to help as best I can.

I'm an average programmer in that I can write simple programs in C++/C#, and python. I've dabbled a little bit in game development, but never really got into it.

However, my real strength is that I'm very knowledgeable in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and kinetics. I've also studied a bit into cellular metabolism, how cells sense extracellular environment, genetic mutation, and genetic engineering.

My other strength is in numerical computation, which I feel would be useful at simplifying some of the math involved in calculations.

As I said before, I don't think I'll be able to devote a lot of time to the project at the moment, but I'd like to help. I guess if anyone has questions relating to any of those subjects I can do my best to answer them.

Since you can program, I'd suggest you introduce yourself in this thread. Even if you don't have much time to do any programming, it just helps us know who can do what.

You seem to have knowledge in very relevant areas of physics and biology, so that will help if you want to join in any of the ongoing discussions. Additionally, your maths skills might be helpful for turning some of our concepts into interconnected variables, so if you ever get the craving, you know where to go!

Welcome aboard gdt1320!

I'm amazed now that I look at your skills. I am so glad to be able to work on this project alongside you, and look forward to seeing you around the forums. In addition to what The Uteen mentioned, you might also want to check out this thread, where our programmer team discusses their work, progress, and meetings.

Speaking of maths, there is a task at hand that I need help with. I was wondering if you could help me out with it, an initiation task of sorts. I'll PM you shortly.

Again, great to see you, and welcome to the team!

Look at how far we've come when people thought we'd get nowhere. Imagine how far we can go if we try to get somewhere.

Haha thanks. Hopefully I won't need to use it though.

I wanted my role in this project to basically be a consultant that you guys could use if you needed help solving a problem, or finding a balance between realism and computational cost.

Sidenote: I've been looking around the forum, and it seems like there is a lot of great ideas but not a lot of implementation. Do you guys have any development plans for the project?

EDIT: Never mind on the sidenote. Found the more active threads. Guess I'm just being a noob.
