It works really well and I like it, but I have to agree with Madero in that there should be a distinction between themes and ambience - that isn't to say the music can't be ambient, just that ambience itself tends to be sound effects, whereas using melodic ideas as ambience may result in unwanted dissonance if there's any other music playing.
On the topic of why you can't post anywhere else yet, a mod (they can be identified by their blue username) has to approve your application so you can enter the development group. I'm surprised you haven't been approved yet, but to any mods reading I can definitely vouch my support.

Well, I was actually intending for the piece to be a track that might play in-game, whereas I think ambiance should be almost random; comprised of sounds that you can hear in game that create the atmosphere. I think you could call this an ambient theme? Maybe. I am still revising it to get rid of the arps but to also keep it interesting. I'll keep you posted I guess.

Ok, as I promised, I have removed the more arp-y sounds and replaced them with random shimmering and an extra synth pad. Have a listen:
Remember, this is more of an ambient theme rather than pure ambiance, so I would expect it to possibly play as a track while playing the game.

This may not be especially relevent to Thrive, but it is the most recent peice I composed. I just thought you guys might want to hear it for whatever reason . (Ignore the Thrive logo, it's just the basic project file I use, and I wasn't bothered to change it.)

At first, I thought that this could be an end credit song, then when I listened to it the second time, it felt like a boss battle song, but since Thrive is a game about evolution it could be heard when your creature/civilization is in a critical situation (like being attacked by a predator/rival nation, or being threaten by natural disasters or when a revolt is about to burst...)

Sounds great! It's very tense and builds an interesting atmosphere. The reliance on synthesizers mentally places this in either the multicellular or space stages for me, a predator chase or space combat theme respectively.
If I could make one suggestion: try adding a held open fifth to one section which gradually increases in volume, played on a synth pad of some sort. It'll add to the held faint choirs you already have, creating even more tension.
EDIT: You are now finally part of the developer usergroup, so any music you compose from now on needs to go here.

Thank you very much for putting me in the development group. I have one question though, what do you mean by held open fifth? I understand (because I searched it up) that it is essential in creating harmonious chords and other harmony, but in my case, I'm not sure how to implement that :/ . I tried adding a continuous synth note over the span of a few bars, but the effect was not very pronounced in my opinion. I don't think I'm doing it correctly though.

By an open fifth in this case I mean two notes a fifth apart (7 semitones, or 5 semitones if you invert it) played together. There's quite a prominent open fifth which enters at this point in this theme which is the sort of thing I'm imagining, but maybe with more dynamic variation and modulation as tension increases.
