| Hey guys, I'm Wiggin. Been looking at this for quite some time, and decided to come join. I don't have too many useful skills for making games, but I can do a little art. Mostly just joined to give you all suggestions and creative ideas. Been waiting for something like this since Spore came out, and you guys are doing great work here. One thing I've been wanting to say, is that you guys need to make an indiegogo or kickstarter for this. I know you want it to be free and voluntary, but some donations via one of those sites could really go a long way. It may have to wait until you get a decent looking prototype working, but still try to think about it. That is all, good day. EDIT: I also play some piano, think Doggit wanted somebody that does? | |

| Welcome!
About the kickstarter (or similars): What would we use that money for? We are all volunteers, we dont need money. The usual objective for kickstarters is alowing the developer/developers to quit their full time job so they are able to work on the game full time. That works fine with a small-closed group of people. But for a larger-open group, there are many problems. For example, who would recieve the money? Anyone can come around and say they are part of the team, do everyone deserve an equal share of the money? Like that there are many dilemas related with money. | |

| Ok, yeah that makes sense. I was thinking the team leads would get it, but I suppose that causes some problems of "fairness" and people complaining that they deserve to get paid. | |

| Yea indiegogo is a no-go, how can we tell who is helping the most, for example dani and nimbal (and soon me) are programming the full game, I made a prototype and am actively updating, we have art people, it would just be unfair. We have marketing people handling youtube facebook and twitter it is just too big a group of people and too hard to pinpoint the real workers. | |

| Yeah, I understand why you haven't now. Too many problems since you have such a big group. I was just trying to think of ways to get Thrive to as many people as possible. Steam Greenlight and Kickstarter/indiegogo are all I've thought of, for now. Thanks for the welcome | |
