Hi I'm PaperGrape

Hello, I've been lurking around thrive forums ever since it was still called evolutions!.
With the new forum up and running, I thought I'd join to make the community a bit
more lively.I do have some C++ experience, but I don't think it is enough to help.

Good to see a lurker finally show their...screen name. As you probably know, je m'appelle Poisson. Welcome to Thrive.

I suppose I can show more information then this.I am female. I am an athiest. I am 23 years old.
and I was very hyped by spore.It is rather unfortunate it ended up being very disapointing.It had
very little if any scientific value.The gameplay was over simplified.I do plan to go to college next year
and major in computer science.I did take C++ classes in highschool.The most complex program I've
written though was a AI that could find itself out of a maze.

Any and all programmers would help at this point, as it seems that currently i am its only programmer.

However, I do not want to release the source code I have produced so far just yet, as i do not want a certain german businessman to take the code and claim it belongs to him. Until i get a hosted website containing cvs entries (possibly sourceforge) that i can prove the origin and date of code produced, I will only release binaries. Having said all this, i will probably get a sourceforge project set up before i even release the first organism editor prototype anyway.

Welcome, PaperGrape. Glad to see some more people showing their heads around these parts. And being a coder of any kind will get you demigod status around here, you should know that. Any coder help is good coder help.

Welcome! I'm glad he new forums coaxed you out of hiding.

I'll be sure to read the source code. I do find debugging kind of fun. I hope I don't need to know too much math though.

Anyway, the very old forums are here,
and the old forums are currently dead.

Beware, a foul demon (called Sven who used to be okay but then went mean ) lurks on those forums (along with a couple of others who seem okay but a few are suspected to be fake accounts made by Sven for reasons unknown...)

And most of all, enjoy working on the game, the lack of progress until recently really got annoying...

hi I'm sorta back, I have heard from bashi forever, and still haven't seen him in a while personally.I'll help if you want.Its just that was pretty frustrated with this forum and he was seriously considering abandoning this forum, so I assumed he did, but he seems to be back.
