| I think we definitely need all the little SFX that go along with interacting with a game's GUI. Button clicking, sounds for picking up or dropping compounds, collision noises, etc.
Great work on compiling all the songs together by the way.

| Probably an off-hand suggestion and better left for another time, but what does everyone think about having the microbe soundtrack and main themes available to download somewhere for free? There are a few options available - iTunes, Bandcamp, hosting them on the website server (though that would probably be problematic) - which would allow us to set up the soundtrack as a free album to download. Obviously the artist would have to be registered as Revolutionary Games, but individual composers can also be credited as such alongside. To be honest, I don't expect anything to be done about this until Thrive's popularity increases and we get more requests for this sort of thing, but it's nice to have some sort of prior reference point. I've also had a go at coming up with some theme names and a possible track order, but any suggestions (especially from other composers' whose work will be part of it) are welcome: - Spoiler:
Opening Cutscene - "Genesis" - Oliveriver Main Theme (Short) - "Vigeo" - Hongchong7/Oliveriver Loading Screen I - "Into the Tidepool" - Oliveriver Loading Screen II - "Cellular Exploration" - CPhilPot153 Loading Screen III - "Hydrothermal" - Oliveriver Environment I - "Silence Underwater" - Oliveriver Environment II - "Unicellular Organisms" - LegoHoss/Oliveriver Environment III - "Microscopic" - Oliveriver Environment IV - "Tidepool Landscapes" - Doggit Environment V - "Angels in a Bubble" - Oliveriver Environment VI - "The Saga of the Puddle" - Oliveriver Editor I - "Flagellum" - Oliveriver Editor II - "Mitosis in Progress" - Oliveriver Editor III - "The Cradle of Life" - Oliveriver Editor IV - "Small Beginnings" - Oliveriver Editor V - "A Microbe's Lullaby" - Totemaster/Doggit Main Theme (Long) - "Vireo" - Hongchong7/Oliveriver

| I think that on top of that, when we start making playlists of the game's soundtrack on youtube, the descriptions of the videos can link to the downloads for the songs on iTunes, or wherever we host them.
For naming the songs, I think that's a neat idea, but I think for the main themes (short and long), they should just be called "Thrive Main Theme" or "Thrive Theme", as per custom in movies and games.

| I think we should put them on bandcamp and/or the website as apple has a long approval process and I'm pretty sure a annual fee to put something on itunes. | |

| Ok, the microbe soundtrack has been uploaded to Bandcamp: http://revolutionarygames.bandcamp.com/album/thrive-microbe-stage-soundtrack
If any of the mods want the login details I'll PM them. At the moment anything about the page design can be edited, and we could even add additional tracks if need be. My one niggle is that the previews are very low quality, but I guess there's no way to change that.

| You know, I've got a lot of time these days, and could probably help out with microbe ambiances, since ambiances and creature sounds are a specialty of mine. (That, and I have a fish tank I can record. .3.) | |

| Sounds great! An actual recording of water is something we're yet to have (since the 'water' from the current ambience is actually a Rubik's cube, a laptop hum and me whistling with a lot of added effects), so if you do have a decent quality waterproof microphone that would be extremely useful. I assume you'd be alright creating your own ambience track similar to the first through the combination of recordings? | |

| I can just take the ones being used now, and double the tracks with the water sound. Just get them to play at the right delays from each other, and they'll both come out fine. Besides, my brother has great audio manipulation skills/equipment/software. He went to college for audio production. If I need any assistance, I can ask him. | |

| Just so this isn't forgotten in the next release, here's a .ogg file of the latest Main Theme, which should ideally replace the old one in the main menu: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ee91gqqvji3nd1e/Thrive%20Main%20Theme%20v2.ogg?dl=0
EDIT: Seeing some of the scripts when going through the GUI reminds me - at the moment, the volume of sound effects is higher than the music by quite a margin. Ideally the music should be slightly louder than the ambience and other sound effects.
