| Stumbled across this site after Googling "Spore but better" on a whim.
I know a teeny bit of everything, and while I'm not really great at anything, I'm slowly improving at 2D art and I hope to soon learn a bit more modeling as well.
I would really love to see this project come to fruition, and I look forward to helping achieve that however I can!

| I've only used Sculptris so far, and I only really know the basics. I'm thinking about getting Blender, but the interface is a little intimidating, haha. | |

| Welcome to the forum amymist!
2D graphics will be used to a limited extent, mostly as placeholders or in the GUI, but 3D modelling and all of its associated tasks (rigging, animation, texturing, etc.) are all very useful in making the game, so I would recommend that that be where you practice in if you want to help out.

| I feel the game will serve as good motivation to learn! | |

Yes it's pretty intimidating compared to other 3d programs in the beggining, but once you learn it it'll be a really good 3d program and the interface's actually very flexible (so you can set it up the way you like it). In the longer run it's worth it IMO if you'll use it a lot, and once you learns it there's a lot of stuff you can do in blender (and if you ain't gonna buy maya).
