| I am in no uncertain terms NOT a Nazi in any way shape or form.
Now that that's out of the way, my name, as far as you need to know, is Notsae66 and while I have little experience on the technical side of things (I know a little c++), I do have quite a few ideas that are (At least as far as I know ) scientifically plausible. (Also I am currently the lead for a different game currently in development)

Or at least they will, but nothing beyond stone; cities are possible due to agriculture being available, but nothing beyond metal, so spaceflight's a no-go unless someone somehow exploits bugs and glitches to do so. | Could be interesting to see... I'm almost certain that this game will get a massive publicity boost if and when it hits youtube, similar to spore. People will play it, talk about it, others will hear about it, then it hits stuff like gamers on youtube and more people hear about it. A good idea for when the game is finished (or almost finished) is too try to atract big(ish) name attention. | |

My reasoning: I want to avoid as many major body changes as possible (restrict them to early multicellular), so I probably want to be amphibious. Why? Since player evolution is player-directed, I'm able to direct my evolution to things that will increase intelligence. Graspers and eyes are the things I'd want to focus earliest on. That gives me an opening and impetus to develop agriculture, another to develop weaving (and thus the gathering/domestication of a non-food organism for the fibers), another to develop spears (stabbing weapons being the only ones really usable in water), and some early social structures. Then aquaculture/agriculture, boats, shelter, settlement-forming, and it all snowballs from there. So I ended up fanboying over nonexistent game features, oops ehehe. | The game I'm a lead in? The basis is that anything you can do in real life (and a lot that you can't) you can do in the game. The main "goal" in the game is to insure your own existence forever, by whatever means necessary. Its called [Lines]. I've worked a little with the coding but mostly I organize it. | |

| This thread rekindled my interest in this game. This weekend I'm gonna start learning Lua (I think). I can't wait for this game... When I first bought spore (I was pretty young then) I hadn't really had high expectations for games and I loved it. Then I learned what it was supposed to be... Still I enjoyed it and I want something with better replayability (caynt spel) and more to it. What better way to do that than to actually help make it happen!
Anyway if I was gonna do a speed run, I would pretty much go with moonpli's because I'm bad at speedruns and his is probably a good way to go. | |
