| Hello everyone! I already made an application, but I was not pleased with it. I wanted to be able to post in many topics and help out newbies. I am learning 2D art and I am on the GitHub page to, trying to help as much as I can. I noticed that most newbies are lost when they join and ask questions that have been answered before and I can help answer their questions. I am also good at outreach. I don't have any Ideas to share because I have followed the game for a long time. I look forward to being accepted. :D | |

You should have edited your old one, but that's still fine. I do some of the same things, post here, keep it active, answer questions that have already been answered, ect. But this isn't about me. Welcome to the forums, again!

Welcome to the forums, again! Also, I have only 2 ideas.... Both about Underwater civs(you probably are tired of this topic...) anyways I wondered that we can't advance more than Stone Age in underwater life forms... So how are we going to force the player to advance to land if they are already in tribal? Do they have to start over? Knowing that this game will have editors, people will get attached to their creations and won't want to quit. Scicont even has in his signature to keep playability in mind... The only way an organism should advance underwater are the following: A. The organism domesticated a metal generating creature. B. once your organism reaches a certian point in its advancement, where a UFO crashes near the tribe. The player can investigate the crash and will have the chance to get one of the following: .33% some kind of of underwater furnace? .33% a vehicle editor where you can make a land vehicle that lets you make metals on land. .33% a machine that lets the player use alchemy to make metals.

| gonna answer the thing again, and please, no more discussion about underwater civs:
1. yes, uplifting via another advanced race is possible
2. ancient tech may be an option i guess, unless the rest of the people thinks the contrary
the basic premise is that, you wont be able to make a full and technologically advanced underwater civilization without any tie to external factors, i mean, things like the ones listed above or becoming amphibian or befriending a terrestrial race...
you would be able to create an underwater civilization without other advancements though, but you wont be able to make any advancement out of basic tribal resources without fire.....

| Hey Alex, since you're already active on the github, I was wondering if you were interested in learning Lua. As you may have noticed, we use it for loads of stuff in-game, and having more people who can read and understand the code is always helpful.
(As a bonus, being able to program will give you some free forum cred :P)

(As a bonus, being able to program will give you some free forum cred :P) Sure! Is it similar to C++? EDIT: I am sorry, I am already learning java and I have a heavy schedule. However, I would LOVE to learn modeling.

Lua is a lot simpler than C++. The main advantage of C++ is that you can write more efficient programs/games that run better/faster. As mentioned we use both lua and C++
