| I found this scripting engine called V8. Google uses it in their browsers, and has great documentation on it's install.
I have to say I know javascript pretty well, and would even be willing to write some simple tutorials

| Not necessarily.. The syntax is a little strange, and while I could go either way, I'm much more proficient in javascript. Plus, javascript has hoards of documentation. | |

| I completely and totally thought this was some spambot thread advertising V8 juice! Well, I think what we've got now is perfectly fine. Of course, I'll wait for Bashi to give this a look.

| Wait to change anything about programming until Bashi checks in on it. Head programmer is a busy man. | |

Busy? Yes. Bossy? No. I'm open to anything. And he cant technicallychange anything anyway, he doesn't have write access to the repositories. Something I'll change today when i get home, by the way. Having said that, even without write access he could down the repos and upload to his own repos. My point is, even if I am denoted head programmer, it is an open source project, anyone is welcome to take any of the source and make something else of it. Of course given credit to Papergrape and I for the current source on the repo, according to the GNU GPL, and anyone else that we give write access to that commits to the repo. We aren't Sven.

Hooray! Anyway, what's your input?[/quote] I personally hate javascript in general. I can express my feelings with one line: var array1 = new array(); What. The. Brussels (capitol of Belgium) AlthoughApparently execution speed is fater than lua. I couldnt find however if that is against uncompiled lua scripts, or compile ones. Games will always use compiled lua scripts (JIT compiling. before running a script the first time, we compile it. then cache the compiled script until the script source changes)
