| I'm Eiko. I've made a bunch of digital art. Vectors and GUI and stuff. I think I read somewhere that you're redoing a lot of the GUI. I actually really like getting ahold of that sort of thing. I didn't read that you specifically needed people to do GUI, but I saw that you needed textures, and some developers refer to the GUI as a texture. My previous work includes being the lead artist of the worlds largest (sadly, never released) Minecraft mod called CUBED. I did two separate logos and parts of the GUI. - Logo #1:
Previously called Minecraft^3 before lawsuit stuff started happening. That sucked.
- Logo #2:
This is the best quality one I could find, I'm not currently at my home computer.
I also do things on my own. Most recently, I've been playing with my own logo. (I apologize for the image sizes. They're all custom wallpapers.) - Example:

- Example:
I wish I had more examples of GUI, but I guess this might show my familiarity with digital arts. Thanks for your time.

| Welcome! :D Those designs look great and incredibly professional, just what we'd need for someone creating the GUI. Are you by any chance also familiar with the coding (specifically CEGUI, based on XML) necessary to incorporate art such as this into a game? That's pretty much the current goal, but you can read all about the concepts we've developed in the microbe GUI thread to help you build on something. Unfortunately you won't be able to post there until you're added to the developers group, so if you do come up with anything before that feel free to post it here. | |

| Thanks!
Sadly, I have no clue how to work in CEGUI. However, I do have basic coding background, nothing extreme, but I can do my best to learn at the least. I learned Japanese hiragana in a weekend, so I'm a quick learner. But then again, there's a lot more logic involved here, so who knows how long it will take me? Not long, I hope.
Anyways, I'll see what I can muster up!

There are many stages in getting the GUI working and you only really need to go as far as you are able to / want to.
- The first stage is concept art, which you'd certainly be able to, the
- next is putting the parts of the GUI into imageset images, which simply looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/s0cK4Yd.png (for our old/current gui which is just something I as a programmer threw together),
- next comes some simple XML editing where you simply define the pixel positions of each part of the imageset image and give it a name, such as button1, button2, mouseCursor, specialButtonTopLeft etc.
- After that you can use those in slightly more advanced XML where you define where each button goes and what text it has (in accordance to the original concepts)
- finally there is some minor scripting in adding functionality to the buttons etc. that the programmers will usually be doing.
You only need to go as top down in that list as you can/want. I could personally do everything except part 1 myself, but really my time is better spent doing actual programming, so we have people like TheRabiesGuineaPig and Oliveriver doing a good portion of it as well I can provide some more example for each stage if you'd like
