Whats up everyone? (Is anyone there though)?

I'm new. I am a Spore fan, and up until a few hours ago, i never heard of Thrive or RevolutionaryGames. I was actually reminiscing on nostalgia by playing Spore and checking the forums. I eventually stumbled upon a post that talked about this game ( Thrive) and so yeah, I'm here now.

Don't give up, you guys seem to be on the right path of making the game Spore should have been ( if Maxis/Wright never sold out to EA).

I am not too talented, so i don't think I'll be able to contribute anything much besides volunteering to play it ( like beta-testing) and stuff.

Though i also see people have said this, but you guys should do a kickstarter/indiegogo thing when you have enough progress and material to make an Alpha ( or beta) that is either playable, or can have a 5+ minuet video of gameplay. Also, when you do that, it might help to find some one who does let's plays whos quite popular. Idk how easy it is to get people to play, but i do know, your best bet might be to get people like Thor LP and Kerbal players to try out this, since they will have an audience more in-sync in terms of liking the genre and such.

So dont worry, development is still happening, every day a few new forum posts come up reporting development or making seggustions.

Welcome! Great to see so many new people around :D. I dont think that we are looking to do a kickstarter because of multiple reasons:
1. We dont need any money( but we probably will in future)
2. We don't really have anyone to give the money to/be in charge of
3. We have other plans for publicity once the microbe stage is finished
Youtubers will probably pick up on it anyway once Thrive gets popular/is playable. I will probably do a thing or two (or a lot) on my own channel. Oliveriver's channel (OliverL) is the main channel for Thrive stuff but I imagine that Revolutionary Games will have it's own channel when it becomes necessary.

I'm sorry, where did you hear this? The Microbe Stage can never be "finished", and what's more we didn't even say anything about any releases coming out in December/January.

To be fair, on GitHub there's a milestone, the great graphics update, set for the end of the year. That is partially for us programmers to organize our issues a bit more, but not only; we'll probably have a release sometime around then; but likely a little later (right before school starts again, most likely).
