| What will be the value in game?
Gold? Coins? Thrivedollars? Thrivebucks? etc
And speaking of money, will this game be paid? And if so,how many will it cost?

| I think that resources will be used, such as food, organic materials (wood), metals, and similar. Currency will be used after researching it.
Now, it's a good question how will the currency be done. I vote for using generic currency units (for example 2000 Currency Units/CU, or 2000 credits). Having to make currency for every civilization would be boring, and doing it randomly by computer would get confusing.

| Currency shouldn't be required to build something in your own civilization, but you can use to trade with other civilizations. | |

Only if you haven't researched it. It's just more efficient to pay a company for delivering X of certain goods. Of course, you could issue direct orders to goverment-owned manufacturers, but it's easier and faster to just order it. - Quote :

Nope, it will be free. | |

| ..He's talking about goods and trade in-game, you're talking about the price OF the game.
With any luck, the game will be free.

| You've got me slightly confused, but I'll try and make some things clear:
-The game will be free to play and download.
-Currency will be researchable. At first, you will likely use trading and bartering. Eventually, after researching Currency, you can either choose an object or material to be the currency. It would be wise to choose something that is rare, but not too rare- like gold. Other things could be used, too, but the value of a single unit of the thing would decrease based on how readily available said thing is.

| Currency would definitely be a good addition to the tech tree. | |

I think Alaska already did add it to his Tech tree concept, didn't he?

| I posted something about it on the thread, which evaded me on my search for it. But my main point in it was that currency could be anything on extra-terrestrial planets: The creatures prey, string, food, music, fast food, dirt, some sort of ketchup, spit, desserts, brains... The list is eternal! | |

| Currency has to be something rare enough to be valuable, but common enough to allow many people to obtain it. Gold or other rare metals is a good choice, but it can also be food and similar. | |

| It works. Not as good as rare materials, but works. Some ancient civilizations were using it to good effect, but later they replaced it with coins (more valuable). | |

| And what is rare and what isn't will change planet to planet. So coinage like Earth's could be worth much less on other planets. | |
