Anyone else think this could be covered by the censorship option?

| I don't think it's needed. All I can see it is being annoying. | |

| 1: it is a part of reality 2: many organisms would probably work in a different way 3: take the example of other games like the sims. | |

| The problem with not including it is that in a lot of cases, this action is actually necessary for a lot of ecosystems to survive. The most obvious example is seeds are often transported via getting eaten and then being "drop-delivered". | |

| I'm tired of this squeamishness people have. It's the world. It's beautiful. Love it, because we're going to try to make it. | |

| Come on. It's just a steaming pile of Belgium. It's nature. It's life. This is a game of life. And nature. As someone has already said, it's necessary for many ecosystems to survive. Poop makes the world go 'round, boyos. | |

| I personally have seen hundreds of different kinds of animals defecate, it is part of the ecosystem. Dung Beetles and Fertilization come to mind in these regards. Besides it's not like pooping is nearly as bad as seeing a realistic mutilated animal in a horrible and disgusting way. We should not have any kind of Censorship for this. | |

| I'm fine with having crap in the world, and I don't want it censored.
But have you considered what it will bring for players? The world runs at greatly accelerated rate, and stopping every minute to take a pee or poop is going to annoy anyone playing in Org. mode for some time.

| The World only runs at an accelerated rate in terms of growth, at least that's what I thought was the decision. The acceleration doesn't apply to bodily functions and Movement while in OM. I figure that the players Organism will only 'pass waste' once or twice a game-day, this could probably be equivalent to 1/6th of a real day. However, Growth would probably be accelerated by about 160000%, which would cram 20 game-years into about a 4 days of real gameplay time.
This equates to being, that 27.375 game-days would equal 20 game-years. Another way of putting it would be that 20 game-years would be equal to 109.5 hours of real time. With the player's Organism defecating about 41 times in 20 game-years.
Woah, I really went off track. All of this would also probably be incorrect.

That does not work. Taking a human as an example, it would take about 750 hours to starve him. By the time you play 750 real time hours, you will either have a hundred of saves, or you would already stop playing. - GamerXA wrote:

Far too slow. Taking humans as an example again, it would take you 16 real life days nonstop to get through only ONE generation.

| It definitely needs tweaking, probably even another system entirely.
Though this should be in another topic.

| ok lets compromise i think with the censor ship thing there should be a check list saying "check the following if you want them to be censored or not included in ur game play experience"
gore(blood, guts etc)
sex between creatures
your creature and other creatures getting rid of wastes
thats is just a rough idea

| blood and gore: yes, there should be a tick button to censor
sex: that wont be a issue BECAUSE THEY WONT PROBABLY REPRODUCE THE WAY WE DO. just because spore says that every other creature in every other world dances,[CENSORED], and lays eggs does not mean that is true. Stop bieng so narrow minded
that is a part of nature and a important part of the matter cycle, i don't see why we need to remove it.....

| ok fine and u really needed to call me narrow minded im just out putting ideas and suggestions just for thoughts like that but i know getting rid of wastes would be important for the ecosystem im just saying that we make so at most you will only need to get rid of waste like once a day that would be alright with me and with reproduction i know there are creatures that don't make children the same way we do i was just putting that as a option on how some people grasp sexual reproduction | |
