| Hey all!
I just found out about this game, and absolutely love the concept. I would, in most cases, pass this off as being overly ambitious and most likely vaporware, but the organization that I have seen and ideas presented convinced me otherwise. I am looking to help out, but unfortunately do not know much about programming. I am taking a class in C++, so I may be able to help in the future. For now though, I am willing to help in anyway. I have a few suggestions to better document and organize the effort.
First, has any thought been given into making a wiki for this? There are many freeware wikis out there, and I think having one for Thrive could be beneficial. I have been part of many projects that utilize wikis, and they are powerful tools. The second suggestion I would like to make is to have an IRC channel (if there is not one already). Communication in real time is loads better than what forums can offer at times, and IRC is just fun to chat in. I wrote this post in a hurry, so sorry if I didn't explain well. Also, I don't mean to sound bossy (this is my first post, I realize), I'm just offering some ideas. If there is anyway I can help, just tell me!

| Welcome to Thrive, it's great to see such enthusiasm and sketisism at the same time!
As for a Wiki, I'd say not yet. So much of the game has not been descided. Hopefully when we start seeing proto-prototypes, it might be relevant.
As for IRC, post in Forum Support and Suggestions and we'll see.

| welcome, and it appears you will be much more competent than i am at this shiz. (yes, that is a compliment)
EDIT: also, a wiki would be very good for these situations
"let's do this!" "we already decided to." "oh... uh... okay..."
or
"what was our decision on SUBJECT A" "I don't remember... let's dig"

| Thanks for the welcomes guys!
My idea for the wiki was essentially to document what has been suggested, and what is being implemented. I was reading through some threads before I joined, and I saw many instances where people referenced an idea but could not find the original post. It can be difficult when everything is split up into many forums, subforums, and threads.

| Hi, new person! I've actually been working on setting up a wiki for this project since I arrived here. Any interest in pooling ideas? (ATM I'm torn between setting up a wiki on a wiki farm like Wikidot and taking the time to set up a full installation of MediaWiki for added professionalism and features. A third option is also Google Sites, if anyone prefers that.) | |

No, it wasn't, it was just moved on the bottom of the page (where no one can ever find it, because the page is too long - wich is fault of those stupidly big icons).

I'm glad our image has impressed you, we've come a long wat to get to where you are. As to the wiki, it's a great idea. If you'd like to help set one up, please PM me. It sounds like a great way to get our name out there. There is a chatbox at the bottom of the forum index.

| He and I have been PMing back and forth about the wiki for a few days. The current concept is that it will be a private wiki for Thrive devs only, at least for now. If you have suggestions, could you PM one (or both) of us?
@fireballs619: Should we set up a thread to discuss the wiki?
