| Aha, the term for these is Palps Probably would be a type of grasper, some arthropods on earth use these palps to guide food into their mouth, they are essentially very very small arms. The ends are small and hairy and could probably be lined with a bio-adhesive to stick to food. | |

These will probaby be considered either graspers or jaws, depending on their range of movement.

Hmm, this is beginning to turn into an interesting conversation... I opt for this to be included, anyway, but we'll need to explore this more to see if this is possible anyway. (Not just palps, but the features that kaos previously mentioned)

| Mandibles.
These sound like palps, in the way they are at the sides of the mouth... Mandibles could evolve to be used as arms, or tools at least. Although, they are classed as jaws...
This is sort of off-topic, but I heard of them and they seemed similar.
Just throwing in some mandibles. That sounds revolting.

| These are all arbitrary. You can have these do whatever you want them to, provided you design them right. Ex.: They grasp, but are to short to be used as arms. Therefor, they are either vestigial or depending on position they are used for a specific purpous. Our case says feeding.
Don't worry about this. The CE is very broad and you can make virtually anything imaginable in it.

Actually, not much. If each use will be checked for individually, then we just need to supply him with all possibilities and they will be in.

| What about tentacles? Could we have a specific grasper part similar to the mouth like part on a real tentacle that can be assigned onto a boneless limb, turning it into a tentacle that can grasp things? | |

| As long as it is physically grasp things, yes, anything that can grasp should be able to be assigned as a grasper. Yes? -Waap.

Yes. But if you don't want your creature picking up things with mandibles, and don't assign it that assignation, (I'd assume your creature has other arms of some kind) you can still pick things up with the mandibles, can't you? It's just that things assigned something have higher priority? Correct me if I'm wrong on this.
