Audio Engineer and Composer on Board!

Hey Everyone!

Name's Ben, I'm from Illinois. I'm currently a college student majoring in Music Education. I also do lots of composition on the side, as I've composed for orchestra, percussion ensemble, chamber groups, solo instruments, ect. I'm a die hard music theory enthusiast and a percussionist at heart.

I composed a short 1 minute theme for Thrive in the music section, go ahead and check it out. I also have a short spiel on my thoughts for the theme and how to really make the theme memorable and stand out in people's minds.

I have lots of experience working with many Audio Workstations such as Reason, Cubase, and FL Studio. I also have a gigantic library of VST sounds sitting on my computer as well. I DO write out all my scores in Sibelius as well. If needed, we can publish the score under a creative commons license. I've got all the notes and harmonies.

I also play percussion professionally and do many different gigs from orchestras to jazz combos, to rock concerts.

I strongly believe that what this team is striving for is amazing. After discovering the game on the Indie DB top 100, I felt like I needed to be a part of this project. I am looking forward to working with all of you and collaborating our talents to create something incredible. Thrive looks like it's going to be an awesome game, and I want in.

Where are you studying at? (I ask because I'm a cheesehead, so I probably have heard of it)

I go to school at Illinois Wesleyan University. You're just north of me.

Welcome! I don't know much about the music side of things, but from the looks of it there's a good team here to have it covered!

Sweet! Scio and I are the resident cheeseheads - I actually think I might have seen the Wesleyan campus in the epic college hunt. I'm @ Carthage College.
We really do need composers - I know some of us can play music (not me, unfortunately) but I'm not sure if we have a dedicated composer yet.
