| Although I'm pretty sure that this will be practically consensus once brought up I'll do the thread.
The idea here is simple, pick the posession tool, click on an unfortunate creature and the game puts you in control of it. Then you can do all the crittery things you want around, and revert back to observer-mode-with-god-tools when you want. Optional fireworks when you leave your body.
Perhaps also allow you to control individuals in the other stages if such thing also happens on a "normal" game.
A third thing would be puppeting a whole strategic entity. Although I think this could break the AI quite well once you release the strings of your puppet.
The main point of this is the possibility of doing minute adjustments and nudge when sandboxing around.
Also if you have something against this idea please remember of dungeon keeper 2.

| Ooh, kind of like a ghost? Or a poltergeist?
The closest we've gotten to this previously is Organism's Eye, where you could see what that creature is seeing from its own view, but you still couldn't control it. I vote for both to be included, if not just have Organism's Eye with a "Control" toggle, meaning you could, of course control the creature. Tick it on or tick it off. Your choice.

Eh? Your point wasn't very clear. Care to elaborate? I do understand that we'll be able to control an organism at organism mode, what I propose is being able to "go back" to organism or civilization modes after godhood for more direct means of manipulation.

Okay, you probably don't know the CC because you're new- I forgot that mainly because you contribute like a senior member. Basically, there is no "god mode" we have org and strat modes, plus observer mode, in which you can't really do anything but look around. God tools will be available in both org and strat modes after you have earned them through researching technologies to their pinnacle. At any time in the game, you can play as any organism, although you can only play in strat mode as your faction. Therefore, the idea of a "godly possession tool" is useless because you can already possess whatever organism you like.
