| The "Latest topics" scrolling sidebar is ruining this forum. Threads die that really shouldn't die. As nice as it is, I propose we get rid of it, or we add an important topics bar at the top. Stuff like cell stage development assets and auto evo discussion shouldn't be buried by introduction posts.

| As much as I love it, It is perpetually annoying that the topics on top of it are the only ones that show activity. | |

Precisely. People have become too reliant on it.

But if it is wreaking havoc we should lop it off.

| It doesn't even work properly for me..
There is a devblog way down under it. Maybe bringing it up along with a list of important topics would help?
@Roadkill: Yes, you are right!

But if it is wreaking havoc we should lop it off. It's just that when they're not in the list, they get no posts. Thanks Keen

| I'm in the same boat as Keen. I've never been able to get it to work properly.
So no complaints with it going. Alright. Back to seeing what I can help with.
At the risk of going OT, any updates roadkill?

At the risk of going OT, any updates roadkill? Some news would be great. I've created an "Important topics" widget and moved the "recent topics down to the bottom of the page. I changed its number of threads to 20 so if people are just looking at it for new stuff, they'll get old things that might have been neglected as well. Also, Alaska should have received a PM.

| I usually use the Posts since your last visit search filter on the forum home page as it shows what you have missed that could be potentially important. Plus I hate it when I miss one interesting topic that scrolls up and I have to wait for it to reappear I think we should replace the latest topics with posts since your last visit or if there are too many a big button that links to the page. Perhaps included in this filter could be things like introductory posts (filters those particular sub-forums?) | |

| How about a complete list of topics in chronological order? Preferably non-scrolling.
P.S. I'm using chrome.
P.S.S. College is taking up a lot of time. I haven't heard from Guitar999111 since I was in Portugal... the menu is finished, but there's no images for us to use with the cell stage so I got bored and started building a neural network simulator. I'm implementing Box2D physics along with limbs (polygons) and parts attached to each point on each polygon (which could very well be another limb). It's gonna be cool, but you guys'll hate it since it doesn't follow anything you've set out so far
P.S.S.S. I think it's safe to say I'm sick of the transparency theme. I really like how the Ubuntu Forums is organized.

| ... I barely found it.
This accounts for the randomness of my activity on this forum. But I see that this has been changed in my absence anyway.
BTW, my college roommate just looked over my shoulder to say that she loves the "shark-dinosaur thing... yeah." Someone thinks our background is cool
