| What License we will use so companies and People won't steal our stuff (Concept,Code,models,textures)
We can create our own License or use An existing one
I say we need to use GPL (the GNU License)
you can Modify The product.
you need to give credit.
and you can't sell it.
The main goal of GPL it to protect open source.
you can Use a property license thet means thet an Individual or a Company Own the Product Not the community.
If we are not going to put A License on thrive People Could legally steal Our stuff. | |

| According to several people, we're covered by standard creative commons TOU.
(Don't claim, don't use without credit, etc...) However I will be more worried about this when we have anything to steal besides assorted concept sketches and a disorganized wiki concept.
GNU seems like it covers all of the basics. | |

| We can do that now. I think we can just do a sticky thread with the GPL. and say that all the stuff Related to the product is Protected by the GPL License. The sooner is Better. | |

| There isn't anything to steal yet (except the concept art) and if anyone will want to steal anything, license will be the last thing that will bother them, it's not like we would get the case to a court..

Besides, not having a license does not equal public domain. I say we decide on this when it's actually important, there are other licenses to consider, LGPL, MIT, etc. (If you are worried about this, you can put your own work under the GPL and change it later if we decide on another one). | |

| Future it will be more important. I can Only say that
+ It will not Harm us if we will try to Protect the Project It will Scare thieves in the future And If no on will go to Court if the Game will get Popular. I'm just saying that we must prepare these scenarios Because you never know what's next.

| Nobody's mad, ido. We had the discussion this time last year and decided to stay as is (there's some sort of creative commons thing going on somewhere - I'm the scientist, not the lawyer) but if you really want to talk legalities, talk to scio sometime this week, because the current situation was his idea to begin with. | |
