Application for Outreach

Hello Thrive team! My name is montyspud, and ill be asking you one question. Do you want marketing? if you said yes, continue reading. I am a gamer. A youtube gamer to be precise. I may not have the subs to qualify, but i still appear in some people sub box. Not only this, but i have a group of willing youtubers who have well over 1,000 subs who would love to play your game! I personally cant monetize my videos, and most of the others cant either. My only term is that you allow the people who CAN monetize your videos monetize your videos, and possibly send us some updates on recent builds. if you need to contact me or some of the others, contact me at montanaspud at gmail.com

Obviously we want marketing, but it's a little soon for that, maybe for the incoming release (v. 0.2.4) or next releases would be much better...
Aaand I really don't see a problem at monetizing Thrive videos sooo yeah, youtubers could monetize them.

Could you possibly give an ETA on that?

I don't think we want to start a big marketing effort until we've gotten the game GUI and the site revamped, but we can still plan and coordinate. It's great to know we've got some youtubers interested. I think the rest of the team will be cool with youtubers making money off of fiddling with our game, after all, it encourages youtubers to get more views, which is good for us too unless they're just talking Belgium about us. Obviously, getting the game and website looking less ugly will help.

ETA I don't know, seeing as much of the progress is resting on me (small team and all that) and with exam season approaching I don't have much time for anything more than quick replies on the forums.

What might work until we enter a more consistent work period (soon, with winter break) is planning out everything beforehand, so you and your comrades would be ready to go at a few day's notice, and then we ping you once we're ready for release, maybe you get advance copies, and we'll all try to make a big marketing ballyhoo about it.

Personally, though, I see no reason not to let you guys show off the current version of the game, because then when the new version is finally ready, your subscribers won't be hit out of the blue, and you can even build up hype or something if you want.

What kind of channels are we talking about? What sorts of games do you play, what style of presentation? Horsing around, or talking about aesthetics, or showing off cool things before they were cool, or geeking out about SCIENCE or what?

Well, for the others it would be straight lets play(which is horsing around), but my channel would analyze the game, using internetz and my shallow knowledge on Darwinian theory to say how closely i feel it really ties to Evolution, and how much i think the game would rock. Also i would dick around in the game whilst listing all the features and giving a sort of tutorial lets play.

I know you have scientists and Belgium, but imma put it in laymens terms for all the stupid people out there(jk on the stupid part)

This video is currently in the analysis stage of production(analysing different aspects of the game), and i would have to give your game an 8/10 in current conceptual form, for reasons in the video. Heres a link to the channel
