When i was looking through some topics,i saw that people wanted to die. In-game of course. I immediately thought of a suicide button,and maybe with gore setting there would be different suicides like:

Minimum gore level (all levels): Creature just drops dead on the floor
Maximum gore level (Industrial and Space): Creature shoots himself through the head,brains all over the place.

And of course many other. I think that adds some variety to the game. And a super rare chance of people that think ''how will my suicide NOW look like?''.

And of course,it's just handy.

I don't know the good section for this,so i placed it here

Honestly, I think that if someone wants to kill themselves, do it the practical way. However in early testing we might include this as a feature--if at any time a creature gets stuck or glitched and can't get out of its stuck or glitched position, you can kill it. There are probably going to be a lot of bugs at first.

But later on I say no.

As for the gore control I opt for it to be included, not just for preference, but also performance. (More blood = more lag!) But more in the form of a slider, or with more options--possibly under an "advanced options" menu?

You cant say that later versions WONT have any bugs. Look at Gran Turismo 5,took almost 8 years or something and still has bugs. Fallout New Vegas,1 or 2 years in production,LOTS of bugs. So suicide will be handy. Else it would be some boring waiting untill you die of age (?) or carni/omnivores or something.

QFT. When we declare Thrive out of beta, we remove it. After that, if you really want to die, do it yourself. I'm worried having a big SUICIDE BUTTON!!!! would encourage people to kill themselves, which isn't a good idea.

...If there is a glitch and you can't escape, you could always quit without saving.

Or we can just include a /reset console command placing the creature on flat ground nearby, and if any of these people come asking on forums, we reveal them the secret.
