Well, hello...

Hello, I'm maxi1332 (of course you can see that from my username..). I study programming/coding but I'm sorta rubbish at it. I migrated from spore, disappointed on how it doesn't really focus on evolution like it said it would. So...yeah. Also, I have a few noobish questions. First, how do I add a picture under my username when I post? I feel...meh when I see a blank under it. Second, I've notice the suggestions forum has been locked, and if that is not a small bug, how do I gain the right to post? Alright, thanks for reading this post.

Hey there maxi1332 - You chose a good study!

I can change my picture going to profile -> avatar, not sure if there is some restrictions on that.
Now regarding the forum lock, there were some changes to permissions recently, but i can't quite recall the details in relation to posting suggestions nor can i seem to find it again. However people are often directed to this thread: https://thrivegame.canadaboard.net/t680-miscellaneous-bugs-and-questions-that-don-t-deserve-their-own-thread-thread for questions and suggestions to make sure it hasn't been discussed before, and perhaps spark a small discussion, so I recommend you try there!

Perhaps you're just not starting with an easy enough language yet. Have you taken a look at Lua? It's an easy language to get going with, and conveniently enough, it's what we use for scripting in Thrive, so learning Lua will quickly get you contributing.

Welcome to Thrive maxi1332!

Practicing your programming will help you a lot if you want to be able to contribute. Also, in regards to the subforum being locked, thanks for pointing that out, because it should be open to new users. What is locked is every other subforum, until you are added to the developer subgroup, and don't worry I'll add you in.
