PostHUGE NEWS!!!

Thrive has been nominated by the IndieDB staff as one of the top 50 hottest new or upcoming games of the year! It seems we're creating a lot more interest than we think, and we're really getting somewhere for a game that has yet to release a real playable prototype.
Please vote for us at our ModDB page.

It's only a matter of hours (6 hours, 39 minutes at this time of this comment being submitted, to be exact) now before the 2010 Indie awards take place! I really hope we make it somewhere on the top 50, guys. What with all the popularity we're now stirring up, I don't think it'll be a hard feat, even if we don't climb any further than #49 or somewhere around there. Sad thing is, we have yet to release anything playable or even close to playable, besides that old Cell Editor prototype.. And I think that's it.

But we do have a fair bit of concept art up to now. Only sketches, and some photoshops, but still.

To me, this lingering wait feels like.. Think of an eager 5-year-old waiting for Christmas in hope of present upon wonderful present underneath a fir tree, wrapped with garland and warmly lit christmas lights, and decked with as many varied ornaments as could possibly fit on it. You just don't know how excited I am behind this keyboard. My fingers are nearly trembling and I have the urge to cry out like a girlish fan.

SQUEEEE! Believe me now?

I doubt we'll get in the Top 50. All we have posted on ModDB in last months is the Bashi's metaballs concept, and I doubt that is enough to get us in the Top 50 with all the competition we have (Remember Minecraft is not the only strong foe out there).

Well, anything Bashi says is enough to show we are serious and are making progress.

All we can do is be optimistic. We have entered, so it is possible.

Well whaddya know, we made it in! (Under futuristic sim.)

I think we may lose our spot when the list gets slowly narrowed to a single indie over the next 12 days but it's good enough to have an honorable mention.
