If anybody would like I could make the current theme sound a little more like a full orchestra playing instead of s piano

I would most likely add- Heavy Drums, Brass and Horns playing the accompaniment, Strings playing a melody with some extra chords, and Piano playing the melody

All i need is for some one to send me the actual notes for the song

WHABAM!

Hey all, I'm still alive. The new theme is actually coming along nicely. I'm taking a new approach to the music and doing some stuff that is really out of my comfort zone when it comes to writing.

The reason I was gone forever is that I was just in Thailand doing some SCUBA diving and shipwreck diving (seriously awesome). My new job is kicking into gear, but I've been working with my boss and I only have to do my lifestyle/dating coaching on weekends (yay!). Know what that means? That's right, more time hanging out with the THRIVE team, and making music. I was fortunate enough in Thailand to get a hold of some high quality SFX packs. If someone sends me a video, or whatever, I can create a track to it and add SFX and voiceovers.

I'm glad to hear evolution is finished, and it's fresh to see a new look to the forum! My personal goal is to get a small demo up before August. It's tough writing for something I can't see (since all we've got is concept art!) I will do everything I can to make this theme polished up. It's been a hiatus of writers block, but the several commissions I've gotten have helped me get through that quite nicely.

I will do what I can to post more on the forum, as I've been married to my job for the past few months. More RESULTS to be POSTED!

YEAHHHHH THRIVEEE, GET SOME!

I can probably whip up some paintings for you to do ambiance or small biome themes off of. I'm super excited to hear that you're back, I absolutely love that we have such a talented composer onboard. I've recently been trying to learn musescore, a free finale-like program, but it should take a bit before I can get some good ideas down and send them to you, having little training in music theory, and only the ability to play one instrument.

That all out of the way, I'd like to see if we can do something clever with the ambiance. I'd like to filch an idea off of the people who made this game. What they did was compose five separate ambient tracks, then have the game randomly layer them on top of each other three at a time, a few measures apart from each other. If we could do something similar, our ambient music could be very effective without repeating. About eight five minute tracks of slightly different lengths layered on top of each other three at a time could repeat themselves only after hours of gameplay.

Here's some of our latest concept art.

Spoiler:

Sensory Overlay- for seeing the game in different ways dependent on your senses. I thought the different visual moods might inspire different musical ones.

Hey, Thanks Scio. I know I've been out of the loop. Having a job that requires excessive travel (and jetlag) eats up time like crazy.

I'm cooking up some new tunes in the compy. My inbox just got smacked full of commissions...

Quick question, the filters are applied to a first person view of the game, but in which phase? I read the details on auto evo and the mutation strategies being implemented, but I'm a little confused about the sensory. Will filters be applied on a first person view depending on evolution concepts? Let me know. I can make a couple tracks that can overlay in ambiance if this is the case.

If you're in first person at any point in the game, it will be overlaid according to your senses
