| It's not a new concept entirely. Look at fantasy baseball and you'll see somewhat of the same thing. The idea is to save space, memory, and performance on the player's computer. Why would your computer need to burden itself with keeping track of each cell/organism/tribe/civilization if you may never end up viewing them in detail?
Every unexplored world is a blank slate as far as organisms go. When a player enters the atmosphere of a planet, however, the computer checks the age of the star and determines how far the planet has developed. The computer then simulates generation after generation until the time it would take to reach its current level of evolution equals the time since the birth of that planet. After about (eight seconds?) of loading, you now have detailed, evolved world of organisms/nations/tribes/etc.

| This is super-auto-evo.
Auto-evo is the name of our evolution system. There'll be a thread about it somewhere, try checking the devblog. Basically, it's automatic automated evolution.
Super-auto-evo is when this process is sped up many times when approaching a new planet, to populate it with many new species. Good idea, but we've thought of it too.

| To be fair, though, Uteen, it's not like we plastered it on the Wiki. Avanced auto-evo is our way of populating planets that we're going to visit as of the current concept, though I doubt it will ever change in this respect.
Still, good thinking there.
