| I have read alot of the posts on this forum about the game so on and so fourth and was confuses me, why is all the stuff about like the cell editor and all that type of stuff in technical jargon like, "Vesicle: Vesicles can be used to create vacuoles, peroxisomes, lysosomes, etc. The chemical inside can be determined as well as their size" To me this sounds alot like that stuff we did at school and just confuses me, will it be like this in game or will be it alot simpler. | |

Well, cells are like that. We don't really discuss them in detail on a day-to-day basis (unless it's your profession, of course), so lots of this stuff will be quite confusing. It should be a bit simpler in-game, being able to see the part and the description, but I'm afraid some of this jargon is the only real way of talking about this stuff. We can call it a vacuole, or we can call it a little bit in the cell which can store stuff, vacuole is just more concise and accurate. Plus, if you have Mac OS X Lion, you only have to tap three fingers twice on the trackpad and to get the definition. That's why we should all ditch Windows before they melt our brains with the goo that is Windows 8.

| ahah i see xD i'm still a little confused about this, just to get things straight and get down to basics will this be a game where you actually get to controls the creature you have created just like spore but a hell of a lot better with more detail and more capability and realism or is it just going to be alot of technical stuff while you see a creature live out its life and evolve sorry to be very blunt about it but i have alot of thoughts in my head which are just messing my train of thought up for grasping what is going on with all this xD
p.s will i end up having to get linux to run this or will i be able to run this on vista?

p.s will i end up having to get linux to run this or will i be able to run this on vista? It's a bit of both. You can control your creature, you can control a pack of them, or you can observe. Organism, RTS/Strategy, and Observer modes respectively. As for evolution, you can set a long-term goal which is achieved through small changes over generations, or make a minor edit each generation, or just let auto-evo (the AI's evolution system) handle it. It will have some technical terms, that's unavoidable, but even so it will, hopefully, be quite self-explanatory in-game. The a version of the game (i.e. a menu with buttons which don't yet do anything, I wouldn't say it's anything playable) has been ported to Windows, a while ago, so it presumably will be available on Windows in the future, unless my understanding fails me.

This "version" where can download? You can see a video of it on our ModDB page. All it is is an open screen.
