Excellent thread. Make sure that you keep getting them from open-source sites- we don't want to steal.

I am making sure... I will add more... as we can't give our sound people (LOL, Like sand people, Just much more useful.) tons of job like making sounds like this.
Added more sounds!

For creating sound effects I recommend using http://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html. This is a free tool to generate sound effects.
It's used in a lot of open-source games as well as commercial ones.

Nice. we want to incorporate some mixing features into the game, so that we could manually change a few parameters in the editors. Are there any open-source things that we could directly incorporate?

sfxr is on MIT License. And Bfxr is under Apache Licence 2.0.

Can we implement them into our game? Are they compatible with the languages, libraries, etc.?

MIT License give us the right to change it AND To place another licence on the Modified Software... Apache is pretty much the same...
Spoiler:
"The Apache License is permissive, so it does not require modified versions of the software to be distributed using the same license (unlike copyleft licenses - see comparison). In every licensed file, any original copyright, patent, trademark, and attribution notices in redistributed code must be preserved (excluding notices that do not pertain to any part of the derivative works); and, in every licensed file changed, a notification must be added stating that changes have been made to that file." - Wikipedia.

Good. Keep these in mind when we do sound effects.

Yeah, we should do that, BTW, I want to offer something... To do list, We should create one, than we will have all what we need to do, Priority, and notes, That could help us alot.
Back to topic, I think that Bfxr is on ActionScript, as there is tons of .as files in there. About Sfxr... The following line suggests something:
"A port of sfxr from C++ to AS3, using the new sound and file capabilities of Flash Player 10."
But, I can't find any C++ source code, I am afraid it is AS3 only... That is a problem.

We already have like three to do lists currently active. Please do not make anymore, we should instead be updating the ones we have like the microbe stage progress report or Sciocont's list.

There is softwares for more orginized to do lists... BTW, The thing about to do lists, that we got to much on the forums, I have an Idea, Let's just make one, With a software for it, and give more than only one man to right to edit it, So it will really be complete, cus, one man does not know everything, Like your list is more about the concept, and Scio's one is more about developing (Not the real developing, Consept, but less "Raw".), So, what do you say...
BTW, This was just off topic, so If you want to talk about it, do it in email me or PM.
My email is...

I don't check it alot, still, you can.

Actually Seregon has made exactly a to do list not on the forum like you said, and it is one that is collaborated over by the programmer team, not just one guy, also like what you said. I'll PM you the link if you want, just PM me first and tell me and I'll give it in the reply.
