Programmer here

Hi everyone

First of all, i apologize for any error in my writing, Spanish is my mother tonge.

I've been programming for some time. I started off with a tiny bit of delphi, but my first real language was C/C++. Then i moved to Java, in order to program for Android devices. Lastly i'm starting to learn python, as it is what i am required to learn for college.

I'm a college student on computational maths, just starting off, and i'm part on an internet course about creating android applications (I take care of the course forums and grading the students work).

I stumbled upon this project while searching for games on youtube, and after reading the forums, i must say i'm in love with this project.

So, adding up:
C: 1 year
Java: 2-3 years
Python: Just starting

Other programming skills or projects i have done:
-AI (to some extent, currently only pathfinding and simple problems)
-Gravitational systems simulation (I have it on 2D, but the third dimension is really easy to implement. It uses real world measures and works well and fast simulating the solar system)
-A messaging system on Android (like whatsapp but using voice only messages) althrough this one is probably not very usefull for here.

I suggest listing what programming you can do on this thread, for organisation. For programming discussion, we have this thread. Other than that, a quick search… Isn't very reliable, so any miscellaneous questions (or forum bugs) can be posted in the thread with the overly, extraordinarily, excessively lengthy denomination.

It's great to see someone of your talent join our team. I'm ure your programming experience will be of great use in the days to come, and I second The Uteen on his suggesstion on posting on the first thread he linked and checking out the second. We are currently wading through the Microbe Stage, and I think it's just about time for the next programmer meeting soon, in which they should be able to bring you up to date.

By the way, do you happen to be experienced in any respect in Ogre?

Not at all, i was even confused about what the Belgium (why the word Belgium, i mean where does it come from?) it was at first. I have to recognize that i dont even like doing anything related to showing anything to the user (unless it is thru console), but at the end its always the bigest thing in any project. Let's say it's not my strong point, but at least i defend myself a bit.

Ahh ok, it is just that there was news from our programmers that a problem they have is that they need someone adept in Ogre.
