Hello all! Sciocont here with the news for this time period, and it's been a good one.

You may have already found out that we have a blog now. I know blogs are very 2005, but it's the Devblog, deal with it. It's not innovative, but it gets the job done. You can't post topics here unless your name is scio, alaska, or poisson. or ADMIN.
While I was dicking around in the ADMIN panel, i took the time to open up a new forum section. It's called the Game Features section, but really it's just a giant bin for anything not covered in the other gameplay forums. Which is surprisingly a lot. I put up a thread there about our in-game Library. Yes we'll have one. No whining.
While I'm on the topic of libraries, earlier this week Zim did my job for me and put up the Thrive Abbreviations Dictionary which is basically a translation of all the crazy acronyms and internal names we have for things. Then when he made it, I overhauled it, showing why i have 460 posts and he has 300-some [/maniaclaughter] So now when I confuse you with talk of the "PPG smacking orgs down with an accurate procedural" you can go there and figure out what the Belgium I'm saying.
Speaking of that, I invented a new thing this week. It's called the
PPG, short for procedural planet generator. What it does is regulate the construction of solar systems and planets so that they can be created right when you observe them, cutting down on a whole lot of unnecessary processing. Adding to our growing list of jargon, I've decided to call the planets it makes Schroedingers.

And what you all really want to know is this: how's the programming going? Bashi stopped in earlier today to say all was well, but going a little slower than he'd like due to his business. He also dropped this golden quote:
