I'm just gonna dive right in.
I've been playing Spore again lately, and saw a YouTube comment about Thrive. I Googled it, and voila! I am here.

*Posting anything that might be relevant*
I am a Math Major and have taken multiple courses in Psychology, Sociology, and Astronomy.
My coding experience is limited to just HTML, and very little C++.
I have an extensive gaming history across various genres, and have read multiple science fiction novels.
I am a strong writer who has wrote award winning essays at high school and collegiate levels.
I speak very basic French (Je parle Francais! Oui!), but not enough to do any hardcore English-French translation.
I have read multiple books on topics ranging from Stem Cells to String Theory.
I have no video game developing experience, but will gladly help any way I can!

Hi there and welcome!

Always nice to have people with math background on the team! This will definitely be useful. Your knowledge on the various topic you mentionned will come handy in different part of the game.

If you don't know how to get started, take a look at this thread :

It will inform you of the thread that set the basics of the game. Feel free to comment on any you could bring new stuffs. If it is really old, make sure you bring something worthy to the topic as Necroposting can be a problem.

Also try not to post question that could be answered. Make your search first. If you're not sure, this topic is the right for you :

Lastly, if you eventually want to be involved with the programmation of the game, teach yourself some C++ aswell as Ogre library. Those skill will be needed. First thing you should do is to try to build the game from the thread below. Report any issues there please.
