Chat channel and IRC clients

For a more immediate form of communication than the forums, you can join this IRC channel:

Server:	irc.gamesurge.net
Port:	6667
Channel:	#thrive

You can also use the chatbox on the front page of this forum, but I would recommend using a proper IRC client. There's a fairly expansive list over at Wikipedia, but here are some I can recommend:

• Quassel
  
• HydraIRC
  
• mIRC (Shareware)
  

At the time of this writing, the chat channel is usually pretty empty, so don't be surprised if nobody is there to greet you. I'll try and join the chat channel whenever I'm working on Thrive.

How do I use Quassel to connect to the #thrive channel?

Just a disclaimer to anybody entering the IRC, im usually conected, but that doesent mean i will answer. If you see me conected but i dont answer, im probably not on the computer right now, im not ignoring anyone.

I does'nt seems to be able to send messages, when I write them down and then presses enter my text dissapers but nothing else happens?

Do you see something like "MESSAGE(s) OF THE DAY" in the chat window? If yes, you just have to select the thrive channel in the left list.
