Thrive Abbreviations Dictionary

When I was writing my post, I spent like 20 mins looking for that thing. Now that you mention it, i find it in the first 20 seconds just to make me feel stupid.

Anyway, I better stop being Off-Topic.

I believe we need an abreviation to the "MBAQTDDTOTT" Thread. Even the acronim is way too big. What about "The Thread"?

I like that.

To make it even shorter, we could go with ‘Misc’, which can be written as ‘m=c’ if you want to confuse people.

You can ask about fringe science over at The m=c Thread.
You can ask about the relationship of money and currency in Thrive over at The m=c Thread.
You can ask whether a certain company who made Spore were clueless or not over at The m=c Thread.

SAE - Super Auto-Evo - Auto-evo, but used when a planet/area has not been visited in a long time. Planets/areas are only simulated when the player visits them, allowing us to not simulate an entire galaxy at once, i.e. to not instantly and severely overheat and crash the player's computer. The solution to the problem of underdevelopment in other areas of the galaxy is Super Auto-Evo, which simulates a planet/area rapidly, possibly bringing up a loading screen in some cases, to ‘age’ it into the present.

Please, dont go too far with the abreviations. Some basic thing that is repeated a lot can be abreviated if it is long to write, but overusing it makes things hard to understaund. For example:

Here, the acronims SAE and AE are being repeated, and as they look and sound so similar, it is hard follow. SAE was explained earlier on the same post, but AE is never explained (althrough it is easy to understaunds that it means AutoEvo). I still dont know what S stands for. Super? Speedy? Don't know.
AutoEvo is only 7 letters long, it shouldnt be too hard to write it completely. Reducing Super-AutoEvo to SAutoEvo seems reasonable, as it is easily understaundable.

What i mean is that using abreviations makes writing easier, but reading harder. And i dont want to end up having to decypher posts.

We really don't have to abbreviate Super Auto-Evo, but adding Super to Auto-Evo doesn't really make it much of a separate abbreviation, so I used the abbreviation ‘SAE’ a lot in one paragraph to make it a legitimate abbreviation and so enable me to add the definition of Super Auto-Evo on this thread. We could really do with changing this from an abbreviations-only dictionary to an ordinary dictionary, but I haven't got access to ADMIN's magical powers of wisdom, so that was the next-best option.
