So, any other audio you guys can task me with?
I'm kinda just making random stuff that sounds inhuman at this point... I have no directon here. .3.
Any requests?

Sounds for the microbe stage would be the best thing to work on right now, but they're probably harder to do with your voice than animals. What you're doing now is fine, so there's no problem with you continuing. If you really need direction some more (and possible more varied) animal noises would be your best bet.

As my first act as Music Team Co-Lead, I've created an Atheist/Communist Revolt Theme (as requested by Doggit - sorry it took so long ). I won't add it to the list yet, as the versions of themes on Doggit's channel will be added.

I also like it's a bit 'boring ... the sound of drums instead makes the very idea of revolt. Try to do a second version by putting more notes, in anticipation of the "strong" (1:31) in mid-song and end song putting an even stronger. The keyboard part in 1:49 is out of place in my opinion.
P.S. a very important thing is not to confuse communism with atheism. They are two different revolts. In the history of mankind atheism is approaching almost always communist ideology, but the fact remains that a political atheist idea can be born wanted to be a monarch.

I wasn't sure about it anyway, so I'll change it. I am aware of the major differences between atheism and communism (even to suggest they are similar is a huge misinterpretation) but I felt the theme could fit both eventualities - a communist revolt and an atheist revolt.

Ah ok. Well the song you might be fine for both .. but it is better to close the parenthesis of religious uprisings with at least one song for revolt.
I wait for your new song, and if it were necessary, I will modify a bit '. When will it be ready?

I'm extremely busy at the moment, so it might be quite a while.

I've decided I can't create a good Atheist Revolt Theme, so I've labelled the current one as a Communist March Theme instead. If anyone is good at composing with brass instruments (Paulodiaz37 springs to mind :)) they can take up the challenge.
Instead, I've decided to make another Microbe Editor Theme as there seems to be a distinct lack of them:

You did a lovely work with this theme! The smooth and charming harmonies fit perfectly to the Microbe Stage. Unfortunately, this kind of music is not one of my strengths. I'd be glad to compose the Atheist Revolt theme! I'll begin straightaway

Thanks! I didn't want to force it on you or anything, but if you're willing to do it that would be really useful.

Hello music people. I think this is the best place for me to contribute directly to Thrive. I know we should be focusing on the earlier stages, but I think alot of my compositions will fit the space stage better. I could also do some more ambient jungley drum and bass tunes for the tribal and maybe animal stages.
An example of something that might work for the space stage is this soundcloud.com/inca_uk/deep-space  . Its something I made last year. I could rework it into more of a soundtrack.
Anyway I thought I'd say hello and I look forward to working with you guys and I hope what I contribute fits.

Welcome to the music team! :DÂ
I agree that you'd be best suited to either space or jungle-type themes. If you compose something you think might fit any of Thrive's stages, or think one of your earlier compositions might work in the game, send a link to Doggit. He runs the ThriveGameIta Youtube account, so can upload it for you and we can add it to the list of themes. I think he's currently quite busy though, so it might be a while before he can do anything about it.

I made a song for the Industrial stage today -I imagine it would play when a Monarchy collapses or something along those lines.

Tell me what you guys think!

Sounds good to me. I don't picture it as an industrial tune when a monarchy collapses. It seems too nice and peaceful.

It sounds really good, although I picture it as a theme for the heyday of a monarchy rather than its demise. For now I'm too busy to add it to the list, but if you send a link to Doggit he can upload it to Youtube.

Honestly, the composition, although short, is not bad, but I can not match it to a "fall of the monarchy."
The fall of a monarchy must have a sound or epic or a composition that gives the sense of "freedom" in the case it is absolute monarchy.
If you have skype send me your file? So maybe I work on
Subject: Re: Music List Thread (Post New Themes Here) Wed Jul 10, 2013 6:38 pm
Thanks for your feedback everyone. I had written this theme as more of a wistful "your civ collapsed, game over" song rather than the immediate breakdown (In hindsight, "End of a Monarchy" would have been a better name), but if you guys think it could stand beefing up that's cool too c:
So yeah Doggit I can send you the file if you wanted to look at it. Otherwise, does anyone think the current version would fit in another part of the game? We could always use it somewhere else.

It reminds me of the music in minecraft, which maybe why I think its so peaceful.

For me, that song actually fits the bill well. It seems more of a fall of a monarchy due to an invasion, not revolution, which I think is what he was going for. If anything it could be a little longer but I truly enjoy it.

I think it would sound nicer with more instruments involved, since I personally have always preferred game music that was such.

Yeah i definitely prefer it when games have solid music, so maybe we could fatten it up a bit with a few more instruments?
