This race is under construction. I will add things as I see fit/feel like it.

WARNING: This race is my personal fantasy. They are exactly what I'd look for in a race and in a planet. You will be able to see obvious trends here, don't think I don't know.

HOME PLANET:
The Caelumnen live on the moon Caelum. Caelum orbits a bright purple, jupiter-like gas giant named Krakatonsa, which has several other moons and a number of rings inside Caelum's orbit. The star Krakatonsa orbits, Sahnoq, is hotter than Sol, and shines a birght blue color. Due to this, most of Caelum's plants are deep red to catch as much light as possible without overheating.

Caelum is slightly cooler than Earth, slightly smaller, slightly wetter, and with a slightly thicker atmosphere. An oxygen mix atmosphere, similar to Earth's, is supplemented with small amounts of xenon, giving sunrises a gorgeous, neon-green color, intersparsed with violet-red clouds and a blue sun, often peaking over the dark and striped surface of Krakatonsa.

Most life on Caelum is fairly similar to that of Earth, at least in terms of niches. the dominent form of life (as mammels are on Earth) are a large group of hexapodal synapsidoids, amung which fall the Caelumnen. These synapsidoids are generally endothermic, scaly, highly active, egg-laying, and nursing. The vast majority care for their young. All are hermaphroditic, but require a mate to reproduce.

Plant life is usually red, as previously mentioned. Generally it's similar to that on Earth, though ferns are slightly more common than grasses. Forests tend to be common as well.

The entire planet is somewhat wetter than Earth. In Caelum's large temporate zone, it rains nerely every day. Mists and fogs are extremely prevalent in the daylight hours. The continents are smaller and more numerous than those of Earth, and there are many island chains. Wetlands cover most of the coastlines.

Anatomy:
The Caelumnen are small, usually only 4.5 feet tall. As like most dominent life they are scaly, warm-blooded, and very active. They lay eggs, but also nurse and are hermaphroditic, requiring a mate to reproduce.

Caelumnen are somewhat humanoid, but their hexapodal nature throws this off somewhat. Their upper limbs function purely as arms, ending in a five fingered hand. (three fingers, two thumbs, one on either side of the hand) Their middle limbs are similar, but are larger and more muscular. They are often used for walking on and carrying heavy loads. The hands are less dextrous and cannot be used for more complex tasks, like writing. They have two fingers and two thumbs.
