PostDevblog #9: call to action.

Well, I don't have a to in the way of news for this Devblog, but I do have a lot to say. Bear with me, because I'm going to be dishing out a bit of work for everyone to do.

First off, the NE and Strategy mode are going great. Keen, Rex, and Alaska have been making great strides towards building the concepts there. Getting that all down packed smells of success, so keep up the good work on that.

Second, we've pretty much come to a conclusion on complex damage, and that is that we're not skipping it when we make the game the first time. Keen provided a strong argument as to its merits, and it seems we all agree with him now (even me). It's now settled.

Now, the call to action:
I want all of our focus on three things the next few weeks. These three things are:

NE/Strat mode- if you have any ideas for this, you will be working under Keen, Rex, And Alaska.Try to get all of this tied up soon, because we still have

Early Multicellular Gameplay- Basically, Pezzalis is the expert on this. Pezz has come up with really great ways to handle the transition from single to multi-celled. If you are pezzalis, please open up a current concept thread for the microorganism to macroorganism transition. If you do so, you get a cookie and team lead status.

Biomes- Right now we don't have many, and we just got two rough concepts out of our ModDB contest. I'd like everyone to write at least one biome, if at all possible.

That's all for this devblog. I'll be hanging out on the biomes thread and the cellular transition thread. Did you know that walruses have no urinary tract?

Scio OUT!!!

Does my two-seas biome count? Apparently it's impossible, and I admit if it was possible it would be very unlikely, but... I'm no wildlife expert. I know how food webs and stuff works, but I don't know any examples of real life ecosystems. I'd have to do quite a bit of research.

Unfortunately no, it does not count. I'd encourage you to create a non-terran biome if at all possible.

I think all the concepts are being made in this thread. That's the closest to a list I know of.
