That excludes the achievment from 99% of players, since not much players will accurately create moles (effectively the only subterrainian mammal, if I'm not wrong). Developing a subterrainian civilizations should be enough - after all, your achievment is mole men, isn't it?

Developing a subterrainian civilizations should be enough - after all, your achievment is molemen, isn't it? do you forget the "mole" part. it shouldn't be that hard to evolve into a subterranean mammal.

| The problem is that mammals are just a type of animals here on earth. Aliens could have warm-blooded egglayers, or something radically more different to that. That's what makes mammals rare, specificaly those underground ones. | |

warm blooded egg layers do exist encase your forgetting are friends the monotremes. we still need the general groups though but we can effectivly play around with that. say you evolve a mammal but in the future it evolves into the insectomammal which later evolves into being partialy bird. therefor you can come up with an entirely new genera such as avian arthropodmammalia or something like that.

Both of you have good points, but we must remember that these achievements must be programmable: think of how the computer would define "mammal". Is it really that easy, or would the achievement be unnecessarily complex?

Evolving from mammals would be continuation of earth evolution. But on alien worlds, organisms evolve in different ways, thus creating different organism groups. You could have cold-blooded egglaying milk-like substance using organisms, and you could certainly not put these into any Earth animal category. - ~sciocont wrote:

Not that hard for computer (just a set of if-then comparsions), but quite bad for players, since achievements are usually hidden until discovered.

| I agree, we should not have an achievement that requires mammals to evolve, something that would probably not happen. | |

| Oh, just a bit of a reminder. Sentience means "to feel" and Sapience means "Wise". Humans are Sapient, my dog is Sentient. Just keep in mind the right terminology, particularly in this topic. | |

Could use a better name. Hardest? How about just develope an exoskeleton? Hardest varies depending on where one is in the game. If one is the first to develope an exoskeleton, then technically that is the hardest exoskeleton on the planet.

| Achievement Ideas:
1 shot, 50 kills! : Kill 50 organisms with one shot, Laser... 50 cal, ect. either way works.
Thriveing Fan : Play Thrive for a total of 24 hours
Migrator : Fly 1 mile. you'll have to be a flying organism that can fly for a big period of time.
Revolutionist : Start a Revolution in your civ. Can be tribe, city, ect.
Top of the food chain : Kill the top predator in the food chain
Survivalist : Don't let a member of your pack die [ From begining to organism stage to the begining of tribal or w/e its called]
It burns! : Sacrifice 10 organisms with fire
Indestructible : Play Organism stage and almost die five times. You'll have to be a member of your species for this of course.
Jaws : Kill 4 organisms as an aquatic creature. Land Organisms. Again you will have to be a member of species.
Solid Snake : Kill 24 organisms while hiding
Godlike : Ascend into omnipotence [ Unlock godmode ]
Crazy Ninja Spider of Doom : Create a anthropod that has maxed sneak skills
Eye Beamz! : Genetically Modify a organism to have Eye Beamz!
Giraffe : Create a creature with a long neck. I did this once in spore to get medium sized plants. Was fun... for 2 minutes. Ehhh..
God save the Queen! : Create a national anthem for your species [ Probably will be in civ mode]
Ultima Conquerer : Conquer all species in tribe/civ mode
Peacemaker in Chief : Befirend all species into an alliance [ Kinda like a UN ]
Just nuke it : Use nukes untill you get nuclear winter. Atleast you can make snow men all year round! if your not dead.
Who stole mah horse? : Tame a animal that your species uses like a horse. HURRRSSEE!
Anal Probe : Study 15 species' that are in organism stage or civ/tribe stage
To the moon! : Colonize your planet's moon
Bang bang, you are dead. : Invent guns before any other species and dont allow any other species' to invent guns. [ Will be awarded once all other species' are under your control or dead ]
Left in the dust : Be the last species to evolve a tribe
Self-hate : Destroy the earth.
Like those ideas? Just random ones that'd be funny.
