Will Thrive be just on the PC or will it work for mac OSX...?

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I really would like to know...

Unfortunately, it will only be available on Windows, with the (sensible, unfortunately) justification that it would take much longer to make versions compatible with both.
If you have an intel Mac you can install a virtual PC to run Windows programs, which I find runs all my Windows stuff well. This can be done on non-intel Macs too, but it is unbelievably slow (and I couldn't install any games made in the last 10 years ), so I wouldn't really recommend it. There are probably other ways to run windows programs on a Mac, but that's what I've tried.

Well, sort of, maybe. It's definitely coming out for Windows and Linux. I have no idea how to build for OSX (or if it's even different at all), but when the time comes for the first release we can look into it, and if it's not a huge rewrite, maybe.

Anyone who wants to convert this mess for mac would be welcomed with open arms. Actually, anyone who wants to program/mod this mess in the least would be welcomed with open arms, but you get my point. We just don't really have anyone capable of doing it or the people to spare to do it.

Actually, it will only be available on Linux. We port it to everything else after that.

Or we can all switch to Linux...

I use 8 Computers and not one of them has linux so that would be alot of work for me xD

If we want to someday port it to mac, we need to use linux. Why? Because Windows is Windows specific. Using any Windows specific code forces us to stay on windoze. (DirectX, etc.)

Linux is easier to compile on too. It's more manual, and you can control exactly what you want in your program. Every time I compile, I use g++. When I cross compile to windows, I use mingw-msvc-g++ and it compiles an exe for Windows.

It's just Linux. Get over it.

So from linux it can be more easily put on to both Windows and Mac? I see... And Linux is free, so I suppose it isn't the end of the world... Game. Game-world.

For those of you that haven't got the hang of those new search-engine doodads, here is a Linux link, and it seems it can be run virtually in Windows already. For free. No hassle. Probably, I haven't tried putting a virtual machine on my virtual machine.
