| Hey everyone! I've been following the Thrive project for a couple months now, and I've got to say, this game looks AWESOME! I have always been a fan of simulation games, and when Spore was coming out, I thought I had hit the jackpot. However, as every Spore fan knows, that game got watered down from the original version. I still love it, but mainly for the editors, not the gameplay. (Check out my creations, same username as here!) Anyways, I decided to become a member because I may be able to help out with programming in the future, just not now. I just started college to major in Computer Game Design, so I know a little programming. Right now I probably don't have enough knowledge to help (I only know the basics of C), but maybe later down the road I'll be able to help you guys out. Anything I can do in the meantime? | |

| Welcome to Thrive!
Even if you can't help roadkillguy, our programming lead (All hail the binary messiah), directly, you sound well able to think like a programmer and thus provide him with his beloved pseudo-code. Work on equations and the like pertaining to our current design.
If that doesn't work out or ends up being too daunting, try your hand at making biomes. We always need more! (For now)
And don't go missing! The more people the better!
EDIT: Why the heck is my spacebar being so uncooprative all of a sudden?

| Welcome! I'm in charge along with US of Alaska, so send one of us a PM if you need anything at all. Tenebrarum has pretty much outlined the important stuff there. | |

| Okay, I have some ideas for biomes I can post. I may not be around all the time (college, etc.) but I'll try to be here as often as possible. | |

| Alaska would be me. Hey there, tklaren. I see you've already made yourself familiar with the biome thread, so i guess all i should do is make sure that you've brushed up on the stuff from the wiki and reiterate what Tenebrarum said about psuedo-code. Roadkill is doing the best he can, but he needs people to make things easier on him.\
But most of all, welcome to the team!

| Well, like I said above, I only know the basics of C. About the most advanced thing I've done with it so far is make a virtual dice (I've only had about a month of class on programming so far). The only other thing I've done is do small mods on some of my games. I'm not sure I'm knowledgeable enough to help Roadkill out with his psuedocode yet, but I'll try to help in the future when I'm more comfortable with it.
In the meantime, I'll post biomes as I come up with them. I have a very active imagination when it comes to sci-fi ecosystems, I tried writing a sci-fi series before I got interested in gamemaking that had over 200 planets, some with some rather bizarre ecosystems. It's been awhile, so I'll have to go back and take a look at some of the material to see if there's anything that can fit new biomes.

You don't have to know how to program to make pseudocode, you just need to have an idea on how code works and be able to lay out ideas in a way that the programmer can then program. That's all psuedocoding is. Also, welcome!

| While I'm sure I could psuedocode (I already have once as an assignment for my programming class), I have not had very much experience with making code from scratch. That's why I don't feel comfortable helping out with that yet. Once I have more experience, I'll probably be able to help out every once in a while. | |

| Welcome. I am Calli and I need Biomes.
Actually, if you could think of a few biomes for a planet with relatively low gravity (at least compared to the attractive forces of it's moon,) that would be beyond awesome. I still need to get the earthlike systems in order, and need more forest and plains biomes for that, but I fully expect that to fall into place this semester, at which point I'll begin putting together some more fantastical biomes...
Also, people who have the first idea of how to program, even virtual dice, are always welcome.
