| Jesus, that was unnecessarily cheesy.
However, I stumbled upon this little nugget of a game on IndieDB and was immediately interested. So without further ado...
Hi, my name is Alexander, you can just call me Alex if you'd like. I generally go by WTFBerserk! on the interwebs and such. I am a composer or producer, as the guys at the studio like to call me. I am also a sound engineer of sorts, but I have no experience in creating sounds other than music. My range and taste of music is typically electronic, but I like some orchestral scores as well, although all I listen to IS electronic music. However, I am partial to most other kinds of aggressive music like rock and such. And that's what I PLAN to help bring to this game! Although, I'm pretty sure there are lots of composers within this community, I'm sure we can always use more music.
So here I am, ready and able. I am extremely interested in the systems of this game as well, so I'll be pitching in on some of those as well, if you all will allow me to. I'm primarily interested in the technology parts of the game, the way it evolves and how it operates and such. And how it relates and affects the societal / economical portion of the games' civilization portion. As of this moment, I'm thinking on how the political situation of any given civilization affects the society and its populous, and how THAT affects their technology and it's growth / evolution. Basically, I imagine in a militaristic oppressive society, technology would grow in specific areas very rapidly (or slowly) as compared to a free thinking society with all areas growing equally (or unequally depending on the area of the society). In essence, I'm thinking on different variables that'll change or not change based on other variables all related to people and it's technology.
So... yeah, what's up, guys?
EDIT: Also, I'm a graphic designer (s'what I go to school for), and I'm fairly close to wanting to design stuff for the web. I like to work with a lot of typography, so I'm pretty well rounded. Lemme know if I can do something within those skills! >:3

| Greetings from the U.A.M.U.C. (see my signature for the full version, but I think the shortened form is catchy ). --This is your brain speaking: Get to the point...--
A new musician! This is a day to remember, the number of musicians is finally plural... --Um, not really aimed at the newcomer, is it?--
It's always good to have new members! Welcome! --No! Too direct!--
Well, I think electronic music would be best suited to the technological eras, so it's good to see you are enthusiastic about that area of the game... That's good... --Good, now try a bit more professional, like ~Scio!--
Welcome! I'm in charge here, along with Alaska. If you have any questions, PM one of us. --*Facepalm* Not that much... --
Did my brain just do a face-palm and roll its eyes at me?

| Aha! So who is the LEAD developer of the game? Scio? And is there a place to discuss the game via microphone or something of the sort? | |

| Scio is leading the project, and i'm co-lead overall. I'm Alaska, by the by. Welcome to the team.
I'm not sure that we've ever discussed the game via mikes, but i'm sure if you ask Scio he has a skype or equivalent. Other than that there is a chat in the portal.

| Ah, well, would anyone like to congregate on a ventrilo to discuss anything?
EDIT: Also, again, www-soundcloud-com/deguzman is examples of some of my recent and past work, but www-youtube-com/wtfberserk is generally where all my most recent COMPLETED work goes. So far, only dubstep. ^_^

| Hey, I guess I should drop in here. You've seen my regular greeting done by uteen pretending to be me, So I'll try something a bit different. Great to know that we've a new composer onboard, I was about to start writing stuff myself, but all I seem to be able to do is jazz and death metal. If you could shake up some cell stage ambient music or even take a crack at a main theme revison/rebuild, that would be great. Our music director is too busy with paying jobs to stop in very often. We've discussed doing conference calls before, but since we're running in at least six different time zones and are all very busy people, it just isn't viable. I'm in charge here and I can barely find the time to check in every day.
Just checked out soundcloud. the modem/wtfbeserk track 226 is really good. I could definitely listen to ambient dubstep in cell stage.
Listened to more. I really like this.

| ^_^ Thaaanks. I'll definitely check out the main theme and such. I believe I listened to it last night and it sounded pretty awesome. I will also try and make something ambient-like for the cell stage and such. Cheers!
EDIT1: I'll also try and flesh out a musical system I've got going in my head at some point as well.
EDIT2: Also, me buddie Modem, whom I just asked if he wanted to make some videogame music with me was like "DONE." and threw this at me:link This guy is one of my musical idols. He's much more unconventional and does... what I can't do.

| Ahaha, I'm not quite sure if he's really interested, but I'll see if he's got anything else he wants to submit. Most of the stuff I might is a bit more calm as compared to his stuff. | |

Calm is good for cell stage. Actually, calm is good for pretty much everything in a sandbox game.

| Well, for once no one's pretended to be me yet, so....
I'm Calli and I'm in charge of the kitchen sink. We may only have a passing aquaintance for a while, as right now I have biomes coming out my ears. (I run biomes. If you see a herd of them ambling by, please tell me where they went.)
You'll get along splendidly with Tenebrarum and I when the focus shifts back to society though, I think. We have the ability to derail a perfectly useful thread into a discussion of the invention of buttons.
To loosely quote scio: Bring your friend. The more the merrier.
I can't carry a tune in a bucket (the music gene got scio but not me) so I'm afraid to say any input from me on music is going to be "I liked it," or "I didn't understand it."

| It's all good! Just glad to be on board. Happy I can finally put my talents to some kind of decent use in the field where I want. Who knows, maybe once we get production started on the game, we can get a Kickstarter going and we can become a REAL indie developer? E3 and IGF here we come? | |

| Programmers. We'd need a belgiumload of people, instead of just Roadkill, Alaska and the Roadkillettes. (And the inherited memory of Bashi...) | |

| Definitely. I think the problem with that bit is programmers need money, because... programming's difficult for average people, so guys programming this entire game for free, even over a period of several years would require some kind of incentive, I'd imagine. Or it could just people me being used to people being greedy. | |
