| I am Bob. I'd love to jump into this game, nameably into evolution, biomes, and food webs; but pretty much every aspect of this game is of extreme interest to me. I have three years of solid C++ coding under my belt now and it's about time I made something worthwhile with them. I've been watching this project on the sidelines for some time now and I think now is the time to help. I look forward to being a part of the creation of this wonderful game! | |

| Welcome! Brace yourself, you're going to get a stampede of fans when the others check in if you mention your coding skills... Enthusiasm + Coding skills =
EDIT: The stampede is a bit late... Where is everyone? Hellooo..? EDIT: And they're here... After two days... Maybe I hit a time warp.

| Welcome to the team! I have ideas for a 'music engine' that would be similar to how a lot of the new RTS's/RPG's are working nowadays. Basically, the music changes along with your actions, say you go into combat, the music changes to a combat theme. Once the combat's over, it goes back to a idle theme. How difficult do you think that'd be? | |

Pretty easy, but I couldn't really test or implement it until the engine is finished.

Hi, I run this place and I love coders. Roadkill is working on an engine for cell stage (which is in 2d only for now) so hopefully you can collaborate. Once cell stage is up and running to appease our fans, we can start on creature stage, beginning with evolution.

| Heya! Like UTeen said, you are pretty much just what the mob wants right now. I'm super excited to see another motivated coder, and you should definitely head right over to the threads i don't understand and start helping out over there.
Also, welcome to the team! You'll be a great addition, i'm sure!

| I could swear that I posted here, but... Eh.
I'm Calli. I run biomes and translations, and generally mop up chemistry around here. As a coder, I'd assume you're already claimed by Roadkill, but feel free to contribute Biomes as well. (Links can be found in my sig.)

| Welcome! I see you have already made yourself at home, great! As others said, Roadkill will use any help on the cell stage as is available, but there are still unfinished concepts if you want to help with some. | |

You can help Because our coder left the team. Poor Roadkill. Forgotten by the denizens of this forum... Yeah, our situation on coders is always kinda up in the air, which is probably why we're so scarily enthusiastic in greeting new ones. Regardless of how many we have at any given time, we need more.

| Yeah. Talked to scio a second ago and conversations with the guy who programmed the known universe are going well. I really, really want to see roadkill's take on this, so I hope he's on this week. | |

| I pm'd him.. no new messages yet. Also, I don't want to write cell stage anymore. I want to write a galaxy simulator, with creatures on the planets. Sound like a deal?
Honestly, Bashinerox might have been much more experienced, but I can tell you now he's long gone. He was long gone last December. I've written a game ENGINE that handles different phases of the game namely intros, menus, and gamephases. I wish someone would port it to windows just to show you guys. I'll try to get a screenshot ... time for class.

| First.
Second. Perhaps we should relocate to a more appropriate thread to discuss this?
Third. Is there some way you could maybe remove the white button outlines? and/or make the black softer looking?
(Ignore my requests here if they take more than 5 minutes of work. You have more important things to focus on.)

| Yeah those are just for debugging purposes, to show what I've done. Me and the late Guitar999111(dunno where he is) had to plot out the points on those corners, and plug those into a polygon. You guys made the buttons. | |

Hmmm... Out of curiosity, what have you done in regards to the Microbial Stage before you decided to temporarily abandon it in favor of the true game engine?
