| Hardly anything. I wrote a couple resource classes that will be implemented in the near future. | |

Oh well. I suppose it'll happen soon enough. I just thought it'd be the easiest bit to get a playable prototype out of for the sake of face. Still, if you really think you can program the main game engine, possibly alone, you're welcome to it. That's about a 3rd of what we need right there.

| Looks great, we can nitpick about the visuals later, but we have a loading screen!
I'll go back to plotting out biomes with crayons now. If scio and I can have an epic math session in the near future, I think we might have some soon. Progress is so much fun.

| Yep. Honestly the main (phase) engine isn't hard. It's already been done. What's next is an in-game phase, which I intend to be a basic planetary renderer. | |

I'm excited. Oh and just to make sure, the about button is large because it is selected, correct?

| Ooh, could I make a request? When you get round to doing the loading screen, could there be a cancel button? It's just I was using the school computers, and I opened the wrong program, and had to wait for ages just to quit it again (it was an Adobe program, they always take ages...), and I thought 'Surely they could have a cancel button... Or at least make a faster program. ' So, yeah, maybe not the most important thing, but from now on I feel very strongly about this, at least for a few days. But it's a good feature to have, anyway. EDIT: Looked at the program, tried to run it... Well, the anticipation was good... Windows 7 | |

It works! Windows 7 ✓ Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. And that's the end of that line, at least on my screen. I really like how the Thrive Logo appears at the start, and the menu is very good... And that's about it, really. It's looking promising, though. Looking forward to the first working button. I am very good at writing about pages. Nonsensical ones, but worth reading... EDIT: PS: If the first prototype is going to be a planet engine, the menu, being designed for cell, is designed for cell.

| I'm running Vista. You need a guinea pig for that? *Searches for launcher, can't find it, and starts randomly opening files.* Okay, found application and - my computer wrote:
This application has failed to start because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Then: - my computer wrote:
Thrive.exe has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Grabbed the C stuff you sent for Uteen, and... Success!

Ah God! Don't say that Alpha is coming soon! We have no idea if that's true or not! We only just started the main game engine, and a lot of Aware and all of Awakening stage concepts are blank! AAAAAAAAAHHHH! BAD SCIO BAD! Don't make promises you can't keep! Don't count your fleebnorks before they spawn! Now we have a deadline! A very vague deadline, but we now absolutely have to give them something before 2013! - Spoiler:

P.S. Thrive.EXE !!!! Now I'm wating for Thrive.Sh, Thive.Deb Or Thive.Run DUDE I compile this on linux. If you use linux, grab the source and compile it yourself. Also, a .sh is a shell script (a series of command line executions), so there's absolutely no point in having one. A .deb is a package full of installation files. I plan on keeping this in one folder. I've got no idea what a .run is. - Waap wrote:

-Waap.
Do you have the image files? Are you running it from the correct directory?

Alpha coming soon is just to keep them interested. we could give them what we have now and call it an alpha. Believe me, I thought about this for a while. Also, if we do get help from space engine, there's our alpha, already built.
